I just bought a refurbed Pixel 4a and installed eOS via EasyInstaller. It all seemed good and after the first time I saw the jumping eOs logo, the screen showed the white Google Background and after rebooting/turning it off/on it won’t go further than this Google Screen.
Any ideas? Would be very grateful if you can help.
I have a Pixal 4a. I am not sure where you are stuck. Could you maybe provide a picture?
The procedure for me is as follows: ‘Warning message unlocked bootloader’, Google logo (not white screen) then jumping e logo, then the home screen ls shown.
I did the steps in the HOWTO via recovery-e & adb sideload and then i try to flash the “e-2.7-u-20250109460549-community-sunfish.zip”. When I hit the reboot-button it says
“WARNING Previous installation has failed. Your device may fail to boot if you reboot now.”
After rebooting the phone still shows the google logo and is stuck there.
Hmm it says ‘Heimdall.exe’ which is usually used with Samsung devices not Google .
Why don’t you try the manual installation? If you have adb/fastboot and drivers properly installed itmis not really a hassle with Google devices. Not even the security patch is a problem now anymore since the device is not supported anymore by google.
But I would still need help for the rest of the process. I plug my phone with the Google screen on in my pc and the installer says it can’t find the device.
Are the steps in the HOWTO mandatory prior to using the installer?
You should also be able to find openandroidinstaller.log in my case in the folder with the executable (I guess it is called openandroidinstaller.exe in Windows).
I tried the openandroidinstaller and got to screen that you sent, then i connect my phone (stuck at the google image) with the usb cable to my computer but nothing happens, it says that no device can be found, so i can’t go further in the installation.
Maybe I should let the battery drain and see what happens when I recharge it…
I’m tagging @voelligrichtig with the hope he gets the notification of my cry of despair in his mailbox
