I used the easy installer to install e/os onto the device in december 2023 which was running stock android 13 at the time.
As of recent some apps have been notifying me they will stop working unless i update the app version which cannot be done due to the app lounge no longer working either (anonymous login failed)
Am I able to install the current community U version of e/os through the easy installer or webInstaller straight onto the device or do i need to first go back to a stock google android version.
Data loss is of no issue, the device just doesn’t need to get bricked in the process.
Does anyone know why /e/os for the Pixel 4a is on Android 13 in first place? I bought one last spring on eBay and that one had Android 14 already. Why is /e/os on 13 ? And is that a bad thing security wise? Sorry, I don’t know too much about Android.
/e/OS actively supported (where possible) Android versions are Android 12 (S), Android 13 (T) and Android 14 (U). These versions are all supported by Android security patches.
