Hi everybody,
after putting off the choice for a few years these days i bought a google pixel 7 with the intention of installing e/OS. Not being a computer expert, I chose the pixel as it is one of the newest devices for which easy installer can be used. After starting the installation, however, the system tells me this: your pixel 7 is not yet supported by e/OS.
Am I missing something? thanks in advance to anyone who would like to give me some pointers
The so-called /e/asy installer is not known to be 100% reliable! If you have the model GVU6C (Global, International), the installation must succeed in any case.
If you have the GO3Z5 or GQML3 model, there may be obstacles.
/e/ has so far failed to provide clear information on the supported model, as well as source code donors LineageOS and other custom ROM developers.
Therefore, my recommendation: First check manually whether the bootloader can be easily unlocked, as explained below:
Step : Unlock Bootloader
Enable OEM unlock in the Developer options under device Settings, if present.
Connect the device to your PC via USB.
On the computer, open a command prompt (on Windows) or terminal (on Linux or macOS) window, and type: adb -d reboot bootloader
(You can also power off the device, and boot it into bootloader mode by holding Volume Down + Power.)
Once the device is in fastboot mode, verify your PC finds it by typing: fastboot devices
Now type the following command to unlock the bootloader: fastboot flashing unlock
If the device doesn’t automatically reboot, reboot it. It should now be unlocked.
Since the device resets completely, you will need to re-enable USB debugging to continue.
Hello,
I have the same problem as Gorlondo.
I just bought a pixel 7 to replace a pixel 5 under e/os.
I wanted to install e/os using Easy installer, but each time, I get the message “your pixel 7 is not yet supported by e/os”.
I am interested in any information allowing the installation of e/os.
Thanks in advance
A /e/OS-T (A13) cannot be installed on a device that is currently running a higher version of Stock Android-U (A14) or Android-V(A15).
It is necessary to downgrade to Goolag Stock Android-T (A13) or it requires the installation of another custom ROM distribution based on AOSP 14 or AOSP 15. There are at least two recommended custom ROMs based on A14 and A15, where the bootloader can be re-locked again.
