I guess that’s the same as what I did. Search for the app and pressed update update, it must have the same app ID so it updates it.
Yeah, I tried what you did.
The package name is how it matches.
At the moment the only way to revert it I know is factory reset.
This here doesn’t work (I don’t have the issue and can’t try)? …
Aurora Store’s blacklist is available via the cogwheel at the top right at Aurora Store’s start screen.
Hi all, I just wanted to let you know here that in the coming weeks we are going to have a surprise for you in the area of maps ![]()
Rik from the Murena Team
I bought a licence key on their site when I was on iode os. Before i changed to e/os i deactivated the key, installed e/os and installed magicearth (in applounge it was seen as an update). I put in the license key and everything worked fine.
I updated mine and lost the offline feature. So I switched to Organic Maps. ![]()
This didn’t work but I was able to ‘uninstall updates’ in Aurora and it reverted to stock (a15-3.3).
@xander2m This might be helpful for you. If you install Aurora then pls make sure to activate the check box which blocks updates for apps Aurora did not install
I thought I might just subscribe as their website offers a £2-3 deal but then Rik said there might be something new coming soon.
I wonder what the surprise will be in light of …
I can’t find any update-settings in Maps. Here is the version:
,I looked in Aurora, App Lounge and F-Droid and couldn’t find it anywhere either. Keeps me wondering…
I updated MagicEarth in Aurora store, and now I can get no sound from it. Not with the phone speakers, not with bluetooth. Previous version had no problem.
Downloads OK, but installation fails.
Hi all,
when updating to 1.xxxx the offline maps are not free anymore.
I deactivated MA after some ping-pong e-mail with them. At least OSM editors should get free maps as we actualize the maps…..for free!
You may need to downgrade to factory release, before upgrading to 2025122009.
In a root shell (ADB is the easiest way), issue: pm install -d /system/app/Maps/Maps.apk.
I de-installed MA so it is basic version. But maps download very slow. I believe they slow it down knowingly.
Now I use OM
I downgraded to factory release with Uninstall, then upgraded to 2025122009. Now it doesn’t show any maps and no searches succeed.
I didn’t try uninstalling, only forced downgrade and everything’s good on two devices: map, history, favorites, …
Maybe your app data are messed up, you may try a forced stop then cache+data clear.
