Proposing additional security features

As I can’t seem to be able to create a gitlab account with a non-work address, I am trying here to add feature requests:

  • Add possibility to completely disable biometric access from lock screen (at least make “lock” a one tap action, not a swipe-tap-tap action)
  • Make screen lock become permanent until next password entry after failed biometric logons (at the moment it reverts to becoming available after set time)
  • Add option for automatic reboot after x hours of no unlock (similar to CalyxOS, I believe, also related to https://community.e.foundation/t/feature-request-automatic-reboot)
  • Make control panel unavailable when device locked (this was requested before, added for completeness’ sake)
  • Add duress PIN option (device wipe from any PIN query, see grapheneOS)

Isn’t this a feature of a16?

There is advice here Gitlab account create error. In short Customers only are directed to a Contact us page while free users are asked to come back here to the forum and DM an Admin.

Don’t know, and I’m afraid it will be a while before my devices get A16 on /e/OS.
