Currently running Android 8.0.0 and I would like to change to /e/.
To help you, there is Problem installing /e/ on Samsung A3 2016 and documentation on the website.
Samaung a3 2017
Android 8.0.0 original Samsung rom, maintained.
I would like to see support for a3y17lte as well.
Since there is LineageOS support I think it should be possible There is an unofficial LineageOS ROM here https://forum.xda-developers.com/samsung-a-series-2017/development/rom-lineageos-16-0-t3883495 so there might be hope.
There are two other threads asking for support:
Should these threads be marked as duplicate and closed accordingly?
there is no lineage suport for this device
You’re right, it is not officially supported (refering to the devices listed here https://wiki.lineageos.org/devices/#samsung). My statement was misleading. There is this unofficial ROM though:
Hello, i would really like to use your OS. on my A3 (2017 - A320FL)… hope it will come.
+1 I’d also like to switch to eOS for my device.
Hi, I’m very interested too. I hope more people like us
Hello, I am also very interested.
He is there any update for this device ?
Would be great if it would be supported. Or is there any unofficial build actual ?
Thanks for some information
No news and no unofficial build.
I am interested as well
Also very interested… Please provide /e/ for this affordable phone, very largely distributed. Would be a great contribution for low incomes willing to be part of a non-google worldwide community.
Also, I am really interested!
I have a Galaxy A3 2017 sleeping in a drawer. I hope it will find a new /e/ life soon!
I’ve two SM-A320FL phones I would like to set on /e/OS.
There’s a lot of alternatives ROMs for the A5 2017 but very few for A3 2017 (and all are “unofficials” like LineageOS port).
I’ll be very pleased, like many people, if /e/ supports my A3 2017.
They work well yet and I don’t want to change them beacause of shitty Samsung ROM stock…
I support this. This phone could use a new life with the support of /e/ firmware.
I support this too !
