Samsung Galaxy S8 - 100% Feat. supported?

Hello,

I am currently at the brink to try /e/OS on my Samsung Galaxy S8.

It seems to me that the OS is - apart from two minor issues mentioned in the overview for this phone - fully compatible and even offers easy web installer. But just to make sure I am getting it really right:

(1) All sensors are supported (including heart beats puls rate, foot step measuring, blood oxygen level) with their full 100% features and capabilities?
(2) Camera is supported in all resolutions, including highest possible of camera sensor?
(3) S8 has got aptX for Bluetooth sound. Is this also supported?
(4) Now that we no longer would need Google neither Samsung: in which way is Bixby button supported?
(5) Same question for supporting sensors: are their alternative apps to support all sensors the phone has build in?

Thanks for your kind support and many regards

Regain your privacy! Adopt /e/OS the deGoogled mobile OS and online servicesphone

have you succeed ?
web installer can fail, but traditionnal install way is not so dificult on Samsung devices…

Web installer failed, device not supported.

Currently I am struggling with java woes and path woes on my linux debian sid notebook.

BTW I did not start installation until now because I had asked originally if ALL features of the Samsung Galaxy Note S8 would be supported, which to this day I have found no proof that yes. It appears to be that there are at least two issues that still need to be resolved but they do not affect my usage profile. I wonder if there are other issues just not listed as nobody has found nor described them yet.

100% is a high hurdle! Many /e/OS users are prepared to face workarounds to have a degree of freedom from Google.

Secondly, have you considered if Volte is a requirement for you? Mentioned here

in the context of USA, 2022, but the issue now affects many other regions.

I have used the “uneasy” way, i.e. used heimdall, adb etc. to install /e/ on my S8 and it works
Next step will be to find alternative download locations for all those bank apps and other apps most certainly found on google play store.

if AppLounge works, it is an addition of F-droid.org and aurora.store
