I also ran the steps as listed in Format the device . Unfortunately, after having gone through all of the steps, I ran out of instructions for Linux.

On the computer the sideloading shows progress as a percentage figure that will stop at 47%. The phone will still be installing though (even though it might feel like nothing is happening sometimes!)

you will need to restart from scratch and use Galaxy-Flasher to flash Samsung Firmware

then reflash a custom recovery and finally /e/OS
