[SOLVED] Problem With update /e/ on onePlus6

hello everyone,
I’m having a problem with my oneplus6.
(i insatlled /e/ the last weekend and everything was normal)
I have just updated my offer.
But when I restarted as instructed.
my phone kept landing on this page.

I took the picture from Ludo.(it’s the same)

and now I don’t know what to do.

Is you phone / data encrypted ?

no i don’t think .
I just install update and and restart the phone.
I installed /e/ normally last week and update it.

  2. At which point during installation did problems occur?

Hi, I am helping someone with OP6T. It was having this same issue.Try wiping /system and /cache and /vendor, reflash /e/, see if that helps.

normally this could happens when the /data partition is encrypted.

Could you start the recovery via hardware key (normally volume up + power button)

If yes, try to install manually the zip. it should be located in /system/lineageOS-updates or better, reinstall the last working version from before update. You can download it on https://images.ecloud.global/dev/enchilada/
I would prefer using v0.8 and not the latest v0.9 version

During the installation I forgot to erase the data correctly.

But by searching on the forum I had found the right steps.

But tonight I got a notification from /e/ for an update. and once this one was done the phone asked to restart to finish the update and I arrived on this page with the possibility to choose between (Power off, Start ,restart boot loader, recovery mode)

I can’t do it I fall on the same page and the list of modes is constantly scrolling.

when I switch off and restart with (volume up + power) I come immediately in fastboot mode

I get to Recovery with a menu (Reboot, Apply Update , Factory reset, Advanced)

  • Release all keys when the OnePlus icon appears.
  • Then enter PIN to unlock the screen.

There I can only see:

  • Reboot system now
  • Apply update
    • apply update
    • apply from ADB
  • Factory reset
    • wipe data / factory reset
    • wipe system
  • Advanced
    • Reboot Recovery
    • Reboot to bootloader
    • View recovery logs
    • Power off

what should I do?

How have you installed eOS on your phone? No twrp installed?

I don’t know the installation steps on oneplus 6 for sure.
So go the same way as you have flashed eOS first time, but WITHOUT wipe anything (that’s a dirty flash and nothing get’s lost)
