Since the big outage I still have issues.
I was able to download my backup files which I then reuploaded from PC which works fine.
But on the phone I can not write files to the cloud. Better said - it SEEMS I can because the file is getting created but it has 0 bytes. Tried several times with different files.
KeePass2Android throws also an error. Tried opening database by selecting with android file manager on cloud as well as opening with Nextcloud and WebDAV option. None works.
With latter two methods I get an error Received unexpected response: Response{protocol=h2, code=403, message=, url=https://murena.io/remote.php/dav/files/USERNAME/path to file.kdbx}.
I do use 2FA and I redid app passwords multiple times for KeePass2Android, built in WebDAV manager and account manager.
Deleted and reconnected murena.io and WebDAV connection twice. (Is it normal I have to connect WebDAV seperately?)
Phone also throws repeatedly an error Your account USERNAME@murena.io - authentification error (check login data).
Oh and NEW since I redid murena.io accounts:
I had an unused, old adress book which was disabled in the cloud. The phone synced it anyway. I deleted that (seperately listed) account but it re-occurs again. Deleted that adress book on the cloud but it still keeps re-occuring! Which now throws an additional error 404 of course because I deleted it.
Don’t get me wrong - I really love this project and been using it since years - but if I am not able to resolve this issues soon I will consider leaving. My patience is really quite over now…
Phone is a Samsung S10e with /e/OS 2.8-t if that matters.
There’s an update to 2.9 is just noticed right now.
Oh - and what about the notes app sync issue?
Is it safe now to reimport my notes to the cloud account? Will it sync again?
Maybe some insight to other issues by reading more of that post. And be sure to read the support page which opens from the “warning header” of murena.io
there is a user-agent based allowlist that needs a checkbox to disable. If you did stuff outside eDrive, http 403 as in your log. It’s not mentioned in the faq, I’m not sure why, but guess that the approach is the most conservative. See this screenshot:
Thanks for that hint. Did the update, moved local notes to cloud account. It synced. One time, two times, three times … many times. Now I have some notes up to 13 times! Great!
Thanks. I ticked that option and tried again. Sync works but still can’t upload files with file manager WebDAV connection.
KeePass can open the database by file picker now but gives error mode rwt not supported by webdav.
Trying with Nextcloud option at first i got file not found message which looked promising! I deleted that database and redid. Realised, I had one space sign where it shouldn’t be. Corrected that, made new app password in murena, redid account again and now: can not connect to file service. null
Yes, it did. Some notes (not all) had that issue. Deleted the duplicates (exported a backup before - just in case) and now at least this seems to be fixed for me.
Edit:
I looked into mail account settings. There is the app password from the account manager. Read, that it’s needed to use Murena main password. Entered that. Did not work. Changed to app password back with same result.
I’m SO glad that that mail account is barely used by me!
if you can’t explain this (as in you cycled credentials), users reported a Mail bug, but not sure if it only affects 2.9. It says so but you should check if your mail acc pw is overwritten. A fixed version is offered through AppLounges json feed, it should show up in Updates then if I’m not mistaken.
