Unable to launch note app after deleting account from phone

Hello,

I have updated to 2.4.1 yesterday and was having some weird sync notification issues. So I decided to remove my account from the phone and re add it.
Now when starting Notes, the app is asking if I want to use an account or if I want to use local notes.
No matter what I choose it goes back to this sync selection screen.

I know that Notes sync is not possible at the moment due to the recent outage but I guess local mode should work.

Have you tried clearing cache and/or storage of notes app (in phone settings → apps → …) already?

I have the same behavior on a Galaxy Tab 2 with an unofficial e/OS from Ronz98 … notes keep asking for an account where there is an option to choose the murena account !
I will try your trick, @obacht ^^

Sorry for the late reply.
Clearing the cache didn’t help.
I didn’t try to clear the data completely since I’d like if possible to recover the notes I had previously.
Maybe I’ll do it anyway because I have a backup dating from before the big october outage but I do not have much confidences since it didn’t work for @Didou. :frowning_face:

I have same problem with /e/OS 2.5.
Due to sync failure with calendar and task apps, I had to remove my murena.io account from device and then add it again.
Since that time, Notes does not work and loops in acount selection screen.
Waiting for total recovery of Murena hardware after recent outage to see if problems will be solved.
