Hi guys,
Thank you very much for your work.

I am looking to update my NP1 to your last version but I don’t find any HOWTO for updating /e/Os.

I only find docs with TWRP, but I don’t have it. I only have the /e/Os recovery.
How do you update your version ? Can you please tell me step by step how to Sideload this new version ?

:x: The first thing I tried was a Local update like this

But after a few seconds this error message was displayed:

Local update
Failure when importing the local update

:white_check_mark: Then I successfully tried a classic manual update via adb -d sideload e-2.0-t-20240513-UNOFFICIAL-Spacewar.zip

.
I’ve never seen such a colorful Noething Phone (1) before :o))
Thanks for the ROM build, @ronnz98

Exactly what I nedded, thank you very much @Xxpsilon and thank you @ronnz98 for the nice work done.

For those who also want to install Magisk on the phone, here is the method I used and worked.

  1. Download the latest magisk release ONLY ont the official github page : https://github.com/topjohnwu/Magisk/releases
  2. Copy the file and rename it with .zip instead of .apk
  3. Boot in Recovery => apply Update => From ADB
  4. On your PC type
adb -d sideload Magisk-v27.0.zip

You will have a warning, not a problem. Install it

  1. Reboot, copy the .apk file on your phone and install it
  2. Reboot and open the magisk app
  3. Install/update it if asked

I love this project, thank you everybody who worked for it.

Hey @ronnz98, can you please build a V2.1 build in the foreseeable future?!

Update for /e/OS-T 2.1:

:white_check_mark: First I tried a Local update like here but this time (from V2.0 to V2.1) it worked right away :sparkle:

spacewar_v2.1_d1 : spacewar_v2.1_d2 : spacewar_v2.1_d3

Yo great work bro. Only thing is that WiFi doesn’t seem to work on latest. Other than that it’s great

@Xxpsilon : Did you also had WIFI issues with latest build?

Both: you can try A14 iode build which I will also try to build if /e/OS A14 is available
https://sourceforge.net/projects/eosbuildsronnz98/files/OtherCustomROMS/iode-5.1-20240618-Spacewar.zip/download

A14 Iode works well. Wifi works just no richtap in this ROM which isnt a big deal.

Yes!
The NP1 cannot find a network and automatically switches the WLAN button to deactivated.

/e/OS-U (A14) - that will take some time!

@Sgaskell, please what’s “richtap” ??

It’s like fancy vibrations. It’s what stock nOS has. The vibrations will feel worse without richtap support in my opinion but it’s prefence

@Sgaskell, on which Android firmware base have you installed iodéOS 5.1?

  • Nothing OS 2.0.5 (A13)
    or
  • Nothing OS 2.5.x (A14)

@Xxpsilon I use A14 base latest nothing OS (2.5.5)

I do a clean install based on Nothing OS 2.5.6 (A14) and everything works right away: 5G LTE, WLAN/Wi-Fi, Glyph interface (all LEDs); vibration is completely sufficient for me.
