Unfortunately e/os/ doesn’t boot, it just hangs on Samsung Galaxy A51 logo screen (e/os/ animation with bouncing dot doesn’t even load).

Zip instalation of your ROM in twrp or sideloading from lineage recovery goes smoothly and they don’t report any errors but I just can’t get it to boot.

Lineage from the initial post boots and works fine, it’s very stable so it’s a shame that e/os/ version isn’t available.

If anyone knows how to make it work, please share.

Will do a current build for testing next days…

This version boots fine. I will post more impressions after a few days of use but everything seems fine.

I don’t know how you do it, but you did it again. Thank you :+1:

(I will also try to learn how to build e/os/ roms based on docker and your tutorial)

Okay, here is a little update. My model is SM-A515F.

Bug in e/os/ 1.21-t is that USB connection doesn’t work. I tried different USB-C cables on different computers but connecting cable only turns on charging, you can’t switch modes. I checked and in lineage usb data transfer works fine on the same setup (same phone, cable and computer). So I used wireless connection on e/os/ which works without problems.

Also, display is snappier on lineage. It works on e/os/ but I can notice that it is more responsive on lineage. But maybe that’s only present on my phone or affected by some option in settings which is turned on or off by default.

So what I ended up doing is I extracted system files from @ronnz98 rom and dirty flashed converted system.img over already installed lineage. That way I got e/os/ without above problems and so far everything works. I will post another update.

After further testing, I can definitely say that @ronnz98 version of e/os/ dirty flashed over lineage is the best solution.

Just to give credit where credit is due, I learned about that trick from this post of @beposanfior

For anyone that wants to try it out, he linked pdf tutorial. It’s for a different phone but procedure is the same.

not sure what happened on this one flashed it was on the samsung galaxy screan the took me into download mode coudnt get out without flashing stock

can you give me a bit more detail how you did this please

I’m sorry, I don’t have Samsung A51 right now so I can’t try 2.2 version right now. I will try it out when I get the chance.

In the meanwhile, you can use 1.21 version which will boot and work fine.

If you want to try the dirty flash way, just extract system files from @ronnz98 rom and convert them into img files (you can use any linux converter). After that, install lineage on smartphone and boot into fastboot to flash system image (fastboot flash system system.img) or you can do it from recovery (flash system image). Don’t wipe anything, you must have Lineage installed for that method to work.

Does this UNOFFICIAL BUILD for the A51 contain microG?

Yes, of course, it’s essential to e/os/.

Thank you for information.
So if I should install lineageos first according to your advice (#22) , then I can do that without Gapps?

I would suggest that you first try 1.21. version, that one you just need to flash in recovery and that’s it.

If you find some problems with rom, you can try the other method. For that you’ll need first to flash only Lineage (don’t install any gapps package afterwards) and dirty flash over it system.img from ronnz98’s rom.
Don’t wipe anything after you install lineage, I usually boot into lineage to check functionality and afterwards flash e/os/ from recovery.

My device is already running on Android 13, so I can’t use 1.21 anymore?

Why not use version 2.2, which has now been revised by ronnz98, for the initial installation?

You can run all the roms from this thread as Android 13 is T (Tiramisu).

I suggested version 1.21. because I had tried it and I know that it works. I didn’t try 2.2 version but you can test it out if you like.

May be someone can help me with the planning of installation eOS. In
https://community.e.foundation/t/howto-an-unified-install-guide-project-for-e/36234
is written

Download and flash multidisabler-samsung-3.* 4 zip to disable security and encryption

How do I have to do that?
And next question, is no vbmeta… necessary?

Is an old advise (android 8 Oreo)
