Several installation attempts, always the same result: Syst/e/m start to animated e-logo. The dot under the e bounces for one minute, then the system starts to the Samsung Android logo and the animated e-logo runs for one minute = bootloop!

/e/OS-U will be even more challenging as LOS21 for klte uses more LOS-UL parts. I focus now on LOS19 klte and reached out to the developer, I did only have one issue left which might be the cause

Galaxy S5 (klte) with TWRP 3.7.0_9-0-klte

Install of e-2.6.3-t-20241221-UNOFFICIAL-klte recovery.img
TWRP message: Successful
e-recovery starts successfully this time without error messages

Install of e-2.6.3-t-20241221-UNOFFICIAL-klte.zip via e-Recovery T-2.6.3
e-Recovery message: Install completed with status 0. /e/ recovery works!

Install of e-2.6.3-t-20241221 starts, but remains in the animated e-logo. After a good minute = bootloop … >>> Factory reset = bootloop again.

That was a lot of hard work - but it’s done! Bravo

By the way: The download speed of sourceforge .net is once again very slow today. It can take up to 40 minutes before a .zip is available - if the download is not interrupted.

Really cool, I did nearly gave up, but now we have the proof. /e/OS can be build using LOS-UL sources
If anyone is interested I can write a how-to what I did

Updater is missing!

This also means that the convenient “Local update” function cannot be selected and used.

Yes I know. I needed to leave it out due to errors in building. There was another error I cannot asses what potential issues this might bring… I will depict in my LOS-UL how-to when I write it.

Well, the Updater failure is not a break in the leg, because the e-Recovery function can be used as an alternative:

Apply update >

Choose from interanl storage
Choose from sdcard1

Both options also allow a manual update without data loss.

Exactly! Also update via adb sideload is possible. Potentially the fix for the updater issue is not a big thing…we’ll see

T-version with e-T-Recovery is my favorite (clean installation)

S-version I may test again on my 2nd klte when the device is delivered to me.
