Thanks man!
I’m still waiting for the device.
Will let you know whenever I’m ready.

Finally got it working! It’s an awesome rom.

At first, followed LOS instruction below (except for model being mismatch due to preinstalled rom being global), and turned out it didn’t exactly work out for my case-

· Make sure your computer has adb and fastboot. Setup instructions can be found here.

· Enable USB debugging on your device.

· Make sure that your model number is one of the following (exact match required!):

  • 23013RK75C ( not the model specified by LOS as it was 23013PC75G due to global rom installed, also was classified as POCO F5 PRO 5160 mAh battery while physically being 5,500 mAh ) ß perhaps this was the main cause of not being able to flash LOS / E
  • Was on HyperOS 1.0.6.0 UMNMIXM, Android version UKQ1 230804.001 (Android security update 2024-06-01)
  • Pre unlocked by the seller

· Boot your device with the stock OS at least once and check every functionality.

INSTALL ROM

fastboot flash boot boot.img Used LOS

fastboot flash dtbo dtbo.img Used LOS

fastboot flash vendor_boot vendor_boot.img Ued LOS

fastboot flash recovery recovery.img Used LOS & Orangefox without success (always gives me error such as Error in /sideload/package.zip status 1), so I used Chinese version of TWRP from here Download [REC]3.7.0_12-RedmiK60_v7.9_A13-mondrian-skkk_b425c96e.zip - Redmi K60/POCO F5 Pro *The latest one did not work (black screen)

  • Now reboot into recovery to verify the installation. Do not reboot into the existing OS, since it will overwrite the recovery you just installed!

  • Factory Reset, then Format data / factory reset and continue with the formatting process.

  • Return to the main menu

  • On the device, select “Apply Update”

  • adb -d sideload filename.zip ``

Took me several hours to figure it out, but so far, it’s been working flawlessly.

Thank you for your work!

And I must also thank E for helping solve problem about /sideload/package.zip error (used search here to browse around the error and got the hint that it is the TWRP problem.

Searching in places like XDA and reddit and other sites were literally useless (apologize for my words, but it was f*cking waste of time searching through these places).

So E saved me twice so far: 1 st time when LOS upgrade softbricked my older phone (just flashed E and back to working device), and this time through providing helpful information within its forum.

By the way, I found one possible bug in this build.
App lounge keeps saying-
“Account unavailable
The anonymous account you’re using is unavailable. Please refresh the session to get another one.”
Then refreshing the session does not solve the problem.
*I’m not having this problem on another device with an official build though.
It’s not really a big deal as I already have Aurora Store & F-Droid installed, but may be so for system app update.

Hi Zok,
I think you must wait until Ronnz makes a new build for this device and then try if the issues is resolved.
My friend (F5 Pro user too) says that he have sometimes SIM issues… He resolve it with a new boot.

Hello Diegone,
Thanks for your reply.
Yes.

For my case, aside from app lounge issue, the ROM, so far has been working great (good battery life and all other common functions seem to be working well).
I also think it would be great if it becomes official.

As for SIM, it’s working without any issue for me without doing anything (I’m not sure if it has anything do with previous rom being global, not chinese, which may have caused some problem during flashing E).
But in case you didn’t check yet, did you you try to check Preferred network type from SIM setting yet?

Hi.
Just reporting that I found left over piece (?) of google assistant.
Perhaps it’s not doing anything as I don’t see internet connection (checked through rethinkdns app), but I partially disabled it anyways -

  1. enable usb debugging, connect the phone to computer
  2. adb shell
  3. pm uninstall --user 0 com.android.hotwordenrollment.xgoogle
( found another stuff that I don’t know about, so I did the same 4. pm uninstall --user 0 com.android.adservices.api)

attached screenshot for reference
thanks.

Hello,
I’m reporting another possible bug, making some app complain as device being rooted.
I checked on this issue on web, and it possibly has something to do with safety net cts profile mismatch.

Try this one, I signed this build now:

Thx Ronnz for your support!

Error by loading update…

Thanks a lot man!
I’ll check this out definitely!
So I’ll try with local update first and then dirty flash later on when I have a chance.

Since signed dev build no local update possible

Since e recovery won’t let me up date due to an error (screenshot); I’ve tried twrp but it won’t boot (stuck at redmi logo)

So I’ve already wiped data up and try to update through e recovery on adb but same thing.

help!!!

Update:
There seems to be something not working with this image.
So I’m back to the previous version by using the TWRP (e recovery wouldn’t let me do anything…).
The older version installs no problem… I’ve got to settle down for a while and will try when there’s any update.

Thanks for your work though, I mean it’s not easy to do this kind of stuff without official support.
Keep on your great work, man!

–I’m not sure if this helps anybody, but going to share my experience here again on trying to upgrade this time—
Since I did not succeed due to unknown reasons (not sure if I did anything wrong), suggest others to wait.

  1. Tried to locally update anyways (in case of any luck) – fail
  2. Using E recovery (as previous TWRP already got wiped) adb -d sideload filenaname.zip – fail (gives the error as the screenshot) *but at this stage, I can still boot back to the older build since I did not wipe data.
  3. (didn’t want to, but) wiped data from there and tried to sideload – fail (same error)
  4. Fastboot boot boot.img (*TWRP Download twrp-3.7.1_12-v8.6_A14-mondrian-skkk.img (Recovery for Xiaomi devices))
  5. FROM TWRP recovery adb -d sideload filenaname.zip -fail (did not give me error msg, but the OS won’t boot, stuck at redmi logo)
  6. Back to e / recovery
-Used Payload dumper & extracted payload.bin from the zip of this new build
    -fastboot flash boot boot.img
    -fastboot flash dtbo dtbo.img
    -fastboot flash vendor_boot
& tried 2. Above, but got same error.
  7. Okay… so using 4. Above, did adb -d sideload oldfilenaname.zip -success (back to older build whew, at least better than having my device softbricked  ) & back to setting up E again

@Xxpsilon : Would one need a clean install with a signed dev ROM?

I made a version without signed dev. If its not working then updated sources are an issue

Thanks a lot, man!
I tried to locally update though without success.
Should I proceed to dirty flash from the e recovery?
