The LineageOS Project has published an upgrade guide for the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 Wi-Fi (2016) [ gts210vewifi ] on Dec. 15, 2023 was published. Could this be an indication that the device is getting an official relaunch?
I donāt think so. The date is automatically set and upgrade guide is also available for other non-supported devices too. This upgrade guide is usually only for upgrading to latest available version
You mean my frequent reboot on eOS Q would be because of display brightness ?

I had frequent reboots on this device for 2 years and the only workaround that solved it, was to set brightness an max 90%. Since I installed Rons initial update here, it didnt ever happen again, but I did not specifically (stress-)test it. But the brightness thing 100% affected it.

I have one gts28velte and it works stable. What is not working is fingerscanner and camera/video is not very responsive (but working)

This is from the sources of XDA I took to build for /e/OS:
Bugs
- The rom bootloops only after clean flashing. Force rebooting allows it to boot properly the second time and every time afterwards. See the FAQās above.
- The cameras work, but with a delayed response, so they are impractical to use.
- T719 & T819: RIL does not work at all.
