I am brand new here, today is the first time I have ever hear of e/OS as I was looking for firmware for my numerous Samsung Galaxy Note 4 SM-910V phones and found your trlte zip file and decided to download it and try it! I love how fast it is however when I installed it (clean install as described in the XDA Forums instructions for lineage including the Cache wipe afterwords etc) but unfortunately it will not let me edit my APN at all, no matter what I try. Do you know what might be causing this or how I may fix it? Thanks
Hi Thanks for the response Ron. I actually followed that guide completely and truth be told when I install that version (lineage 18.1) the APN works perfectly, so for that reason it makes me think there is somehow some other conflict happening that did not happen with lineage 18.1 (android 11). I am not sure what it is really, but hopefully I can figure something out because I actually really enjoy the E/OS, my phone ran super fast and sleek with it!, Anyhow, I appreciate your responding to me about it.
P.S. I have numerous of these samsung Galaxy Note 4’s (SM-910V) and if it meant you would keep building and tweaking this OS then I would be happy to send you one (and a couple of batteries) for free! Anyhow, let me know if that would interest you!
Thanks for creating this awesome build. I tried it on a SM-N910F and tested it, didn’t find any bugs except Magic Earth is crashing, maybe due to high resources (this app in general is laggy). I also cannot confirm the bug with the APN settings, it was possible for me to connect to all networks and also set custom APNs.
I hope this port will be updated in the future so we can see the Note 4 with the new Bliss Launcher and its features.
Man I have been testing your ROM on my N910V for 2 days now and it is not just secure, but much faster and stable than other ROMs and than I expected. Thank you so much for this release which I consider being based on eOS as a new chapter that you have opened for our beloved Note 4. Thank you thank you thank you, I will continue my testing and report issues if there is any.
Wow you don’t have the device but created a perfectly working ROM, I wonder if you can build for other Note 4 variants like N910C & N916K, those are with Exynos rather than Snapdragon of N910F, V, T. Of course this if you have the time & willing to. I am posting now using ur great ROM. I think my comments show how happy I am with your efforts, please keep up the upgrades and updates. Thanks for everything man.
@ronnz98 question if I may, have u find the time / interest to test if the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 [trlte] Android 12 ROM I shared with u, any useful for creating an /e/OS-R based ROM ?
@ronnz98 By the way, testing your e/OS-R [trlte] ROM, for a week now, on my N910V, compared to the same ROM from XDA running LineageOS both Android 11, in terms of stability, resources consumption & battery life, your e/OS-R ROM is much more superior, giving my old Note 4 a very decent performance & surprisingly a new life. Thanks to you, the e/OS community & foundation.
