Mine is in Android 14. I tried the updater, but it says I’m up to date already. Is it possible to upgrade /e/os to Android 16 on my Murena FP4?

Only if you run the ‘Official’ build you get an OTA upgrade to A16.
Only official builds get OTA Upgrade. The upgrade path for fp4 official was from e-4.2-a14-20260814662910-official-FP4.
There have been cases where users on official testing builds missed the upgrade path.
If on a community build the official way to upgrade after full backup for a clean result is to Fresh install. As we find documentation for community builds disappear some would take the opportunity to Fresh install official.
There is however [HOWTO] Upgrade my /e/OS to major Android version without loosing /data if you prefer.
