Regarding #2, are you on FP6? With /e/os 3.5?
Hi Ilse and welcome.
it is recommended to share device-specific details when raising issues:
When related to System-Updates, there is always a version-specific thread for issues etc.
Are you referring to App Lounge?
Does sometimes not work reliably for me either and most of the time, therefore I recommend to use F-Droid for FOSS-Apps and Aurora Store for GPS-Apps.
You can install the latter via F-Droid.
I have a Murena FP4 currently running 3.4-a14. I see 3.5 is available for this device. If I upgrade to 3.5, will it still be on Android 14? I’m not getting how OTA updating is supposed to work with respect to Android version.
If you are on the official build, you will still remain on A14 (MG-e-3.5-a14-20260211580870-official-FP4.zip)
FP4 upgrade to A15 is scheduled somewhere later this year.
Official builds get OTA updates. Community builds have to be manually OS upgraded. To find out if you are on official or community builds check Settings >> About Phone >> /e/OS version
it will show the build currently installed on your device. For example it would show something like : 3.4-s-202601145632434-official-GS290
In this the official indicates it is an official build. Similarly for community it will mention ‘community’. Only a few devices which have device maintainers get official builds. You can check the list of official and community devices by checking in this table.
Hi @Ilse would need some device and build specific details as mentioned by others in this thread. What is the device name, build and OS version you are on.
Hi Obacht,
Thank you for the info, I’m new to the community. I have a Fairphone 6, with e/os 3.5 running. I’ll try installing this app store instead.
Kind regards,
Ilse
