What is build r -s -t?

Hello,

My phone have  /e/OS Information

Maintainers

  • /e/OS Build Team

Build versions

  • T (community)
  • S (official)

is S means stable ? and T is Testing ?
S use lineage19.x and T use lineage20.x

Community version means testing version ?

T is going to be S at some point ?

If i wait, i will get android 13 stable on my device ? or i’m stuck on S based on android 12 ?

Thanks

hi @dcu, welcome to this forum.

Q is for Quince tart (android 10) LineageOS 17.1
R is for Red velvet cake (android 11) LineageOS 18.1
S is for Snow Cone (android 12) LineageOS 19.1
T is for Tiramisu (android 13) LineageOS 20
U is for ??? (android 14) LineageOS 21

That are Android version native codenames

“Community” is builds for supported devices not solded by Murena

no it is inverse

there are OTA upgrades for most “Official” devices solded by Murena

what is your device, build installed ?

Hi,
Thanks for this, this help a lot
R, S, T, are names from Android versions from google,

so for my avicii phone, i’m running on latest stable 1.20-S (12)

1.20-T is a DEV build (13)
e-1.20-t-20240221382228-dev-avicii.zip

Official here means the last Android released from vendor for that device,
Community means a build from /e/os for a device compatible but not sold by murena.

So a community release can be a stable release if flagged with -stable- in filename…

should we get a notification when T will be flagged stable in the update tool ?

Is there a way to check the blocking points for T preventing a -stable- release for avicii ?

recently (last week) names used in documentation have changed :

previously called official “stable” builded by /e/ server-infrastructure become “Official” as for the “Official Murena devices” that are or were solded by Murena web site
previously called official “dev” builded by /e/ server-infrastructure become “Community” as for the others supported devices that can be used by the “Community members”

i have no information about previously called official “test” builded by /e/ server-infrastructure

“UNOFFICIAL” are builded by individual /e/ users from the community (without code modifications)
“CUSTOM” are builded by individual /e/ users from the community (with some code modifications)

yes, some days after the release.
