It’s been there since December 2024 (community) or June 2025 (official) for manual install. (Different Build Types)
So, what you are probably waiting for is not the new Android version as such, but a so-called OTA upgrade which would give it to you via the updater so you don’t have to install it manually.
OTA upgrades will only be done for the official build type, not community, see here for what you are using … [HOWTO] Give complete /e/OS version info easily for support, answers, comparison etc.
And it takes extra development and testing resources, and thus time.

This means? If I want to upgrade from A13 to A15, I need to manually download the A14 and install it (I don’t lose mij data I hope, dont need to wipe…?)
When that succeeds, I get the OTA of A15?
I understand, but I was wondering the route I named in my reaction is also an option. That is because I also want to lock my bootloader.
Locking as well as unlocking the bootloader always forces a factory reset for security reasons, wiping your data.
In that sense you might as well install A14 manually and let it upgrade to A15. If your bootloader is unlocked now and you want to lock it, wiping is inevitable anyway.
Thanks for the answer. I’m not so sure now about locking the bootloader. For the upgrade I know what to do.
hmm … maybe we don’t want to relock …
A discussion about bootloader locking/unlocking… AKA I want to relock my bootloader, should I?
I thought all I had to do is download the zip file, and in recovery mode choose apply update. But I got an error.
The ZIP files available on the documented download pages correspond to the install instructions linked on the download pages.
If those install instructions don’t install via recovery or ADB sideload, then the ZIP files are not suitable for use in recovery or via ADB sideload, because they use fastboot for installation.
In this case, if you want to go the undocumented route via recovery or ADB sideload, you need to download different ZIP files in the OTA format, available on the OTA server (which delivers updates to the /e/OS updater) for your device and for your build type.
For e.g. FP5 official (see here how to check) this would currently be https://ota.ecloud.global/api/v1/FP5/official/ … see the “url:” lines there for the download links.
In case you used the correct OTA file already and still get an error, what is the error message?
It is the Security Patch Level, I will have to wait for the next release.
