Would be great to have widevine L1 on e/os – like already done on grapheneos.
Starting, lets say, with Fairphones. Yes, this is not the most trivial task. but if you do not do this, the ‘open’ world needs to wait for a player like valve to invent something (like a valve–usb-streaming-stick compatible with linux or something). progress in that field would be great for wider adoption of ‘open’ devices and possibly wider usage-fields / new possibilities (example).
btw: Widevine L1 currently seems to be working already not only on Pixel-Phones through grapheneos but also through lineage on some samsung-devices.
