Xiaomi Pad 6 - pipa

Hello /e/Community,

I would like to suggest the promotion to Community Build of the Xiaomi Pad 6 (pipa) tablet.

Unofficial builds and support, of very high quality, are kindly provided by @ronnz98 for some years (Dec 2023), including recent ones for /e/ 3.5, 3.6, 3.7 and 4.0:

I’m currently using /e/OS 4.0-A16, and it’s working very fine.
However note that I’m using my tablet mainly for video streaming and web browsing.

Xiaomi Pad 6 Hub is available (ROMs, kernel and recoveries):

The official LineageOS build and support is outdated, but there are Official DerpFest ones, with active support from from nullpointer1101, which are used by Ronald for creating /e/ unofficial builds.

I’ve prepared the suitable file for Smartphone Selector
I’ll create a merge request on gitlab soon.
I’ve also looked a bit for adding to e/OS Installer /e/OS Installer

Note that settings for native Xiaomi devices (accessories), like physical keyboard, stylus and smart lid, are supported and available in the System Settings → System → Pipa Controls (for A16 builds. For A15, they are in different submenus IIRC).
They are translated, but if anything is wrong, please contact me

That’s the Nightmare part, and seems quite frequent with Xiaomi devices (but not only no?).
In essence, it’s similar to Xiaomi Pad5 (Info about Xiaomi Xiaomi Pad 5 - nabu):

I sadly can’t apply as ROM maintainer, not enough bandwidth nor horsepower to build, beside from the lack of knowledge and practice. My attempt to build e/ 2.2 on a5xelte miserably failed 2 times (24 hours each ).
Would you be willing to be the maintainer @ronnz98?
what other options exist otherwise to get community builds and more official support?
Note that I’m obviously there to actively test, and communicate with the upstream porter nullpointer1101

Update: I made a PR to update/complete French translations for Pipa Controls (settings specific to pipa): Update and complete French translations by aquette · Pull Request #5 · nullpointer1101/android_device_xiaomi_pipa · GitHub

with A16 build, there are more options than just the Xiaomi keyboard, stylus and smart cover available on A15. Many new options are provided for fine tuning CPU/GPU/RAM/Touch/…
