When i used /e/os 3.3, I tried to update my apps through applounge. After 1 or 2 apps the process was stuck on an app (anki). Applounge indicated “installing" and nothing happened for a couple of hours…
I tried to kill Applounge process to restart it and also to restart my phone. But was still blocked…
I hoped that the 3.4 solve the problem but was not the case…
When i opened anki, the app was updated. So i backuped my data and unistalled the app, hoping to solve the problem.
The app disapeared from the update panel of Applounge and i was able to update my other apps (victory !).
But when i wanted to reinstall anki, the app is still indicated in applouge has in the “installation" process… even if the app is not installed anymore
Do you have any clue on how to solve this problem ?
Have you read a few of the app-lounge threads and especially App Lounge FAQ? I suggest to pay particular attention to the advice after any “fail” attempt and Clear storage to “Try later” where later is like 12 hours later and have the phone fully charged.
Also try to separate whether you have Anki problems. It is firstly a large download (perhaps check for available space) and also in use I think I remember settings where a non privacy friendly server has to be deselected in Anki settings or else /e/ complains or fails. I did have AnkiDroid problems in use, some user error.
I was having a similar issue (Fairphone 6, e/OS/ version 3.4-a15, AppLounge version 2.14.6) and found that AppLounge would not download when a VPN connection was configured to be “Always-on” (Settings → Network and Internet → VPN → → Always-on VPN)
When I turned off “Always-on VPN”, AppLounge started downloading again.
For me this affected “Common Apps”, open-source apps, and PWAs (all downloads would get stuck and never complete). The “Only on un-metered networks” setting in AppLounge had no effect. Clearing caches and clearing storage for AppLounge had no effect. Waiting 24 hours had no effect.
I figured out that the problem was the always-on VPN, because noticed that if I restarted the phone and immediately opened AppLounge, it would make a tiny bit of progress on the download before the VPN icon appeared.
