Can't connect to App Lounge

Same issues for me (2.4.1-t miatoll)

If you installed the F-Droid app on your mobile, you can install Aurora Store. This will allow you to update your applications and install others.

Otherwise, download Apk Aurora Store here: Aurora Store

Here is a very well done tutorial to install Aurora Store: AuroraOSS/AuroraStore

Same here with FP4 and 2.4.1

I don’t see any issue report about this at the repository. Maybe someone with account at Gitlab can open one?

Me too. Fairphone 4. 3 days without app. I install fdroid and aurora store.

Here the AppLounge is working again!

Confirm :+1: Thanks for the heads-up.

Just one nice proof / an example for the return to functionality.

To those who cleared cache and storage of the app, bear in mind this reset also things like treatment of updates for apps installed outside of App Lounge – e.g. I am now getting updates offered for apps I don’t want them for. Just re-disenable these if that’s what you previously set, too.

Working here now too. I had to do the full logout, force-stop, clear cache & storage, reboot & wait 10 minutes before it did though!
I’ve been able to update 4 common apps and sucessfuly search for another.
Thanks for sorting this out. It would be good to know the cause of the issue.

Yep, it’s working now again. Thanks for advice!

Working again here, too. Thank you for the quick fix!

The Lounge app works again.
Thank you

The Lounge application works, but some applications are no longer available.
I did a search concerning certain banking apps to see, but they are not available.
I also carried out a search for the signal application, it is not available either.

Not only that, but I did the same research on Aurora Store and they are all available.

Sorry for crashing the party… For me it still does not work with anonymous mode. Even when I force kill the app, clear all cache, reboot the phone and wait for several hours it does not resolve the issue. (On both my /e/OS phones.) Anyone an idea?

@manoj it seems App Lounge is not working again in anonymous mode, as indicated this morning by others above.
I’ve just tried the full logout, clear cache & storage, reboot & wait process and it’s still not working.
Common apps are currently appearing on the home screen, but as soon as you try to search, the ‘Account unavailable’ message appears and only Open Source apps show. Hence Signal does not appear.
To test further, try a search for ‘Proton’. There should be at least 5 Proton apps, but only the open source ProtonVPN and Proton Pass show in a search. Proton Mail, Calendar and Drive are not available as open source apps and do not appear in the search results.

There is an issue with the Anonymous mode in App Lounge. The team is working on resolving it. This is not related to the service outage we have been facing. Do not have any ETA’s on a resolution from the team.

Seems to be back up (partially)

Something I noticed before this problem is sometimes the anonymous account used doesn’t display certain apps from the store such as Tinder, Snapchat.

My workaround was log out and try as many log in anonymous until the apps came up.

Now, these apps aren’t coming up.
Workaround isn’t doing it this time…

AppLounge broken again here, too.

My strength and motivation with /e/OS are exhausted. I’m fed up with the ongoing problems with Murena!

So I uninstalled AppLounge with
adb shell pm uninstall --user 0 foundation.e.apps
permanently in Developer Mode / USB-Debugging.

I moved to Aurora Store for the next time.

My Volla Phone is already ordered. Bye, Murena!

The “Account unavailable” thing is not exactly new, but generally it’s (strangely enough) not preventing my updates from starting. This time I also have a message at the bottom of the screen saying that a “rule” failed, potentially due to OS or phone compatibility or whatever. :woman_shrugging:

Good luck to the devs to fix this. I suppose it’s not easy to manage this anonymous stuff when Google and co. probably do all they can to prevent such uses.

Kinda like the person above (except that I’m not moving out of /e/), I used Aurora to update Signal and another app. Worked relatively well after a session refresh in it. You can get Aurora from F-droid, and F-droid provides its own .apk on its website, so it’s a bit convoluted but you can work your way around the App Lounge and it’s always nice to have on the side when in a pinch like this.

Edit: Beware of the fact that Aurora may suggest updates for pre-installed /e/ apps. Not sure what would happen when installing the “real” Magic Earth on top of the /e/ “Maps” version. It’s probably best to add those to the Aurora blacklist (you can do so via a long tap on the update suggestion).

Same issue here but as Manoj say there is an issue. I did as user Marsupio and used the Aurora store for an app I need. If you don’t have f-droid you can manually download it on a PC the move it on to the phone to install.

You can also instead of logging in under ‘anonymous mode’, choose to show only ‘pwa and open source apps’. Then you don’t need to install F-droid separately.

I’m going to keep Aurora Store for the moment, App Lounge is still not responding to the updates, and when I am looking for a banking application.

For info and for those it might be of interest, there is another open source application store like F-Droid.
