Hi! I’m trying to install either twrp or e-recovery to a Oneplus Nord (avicii), with a 256gb ab slots type of storage. Also tried following tutorials for ab slots phones, but nothing works!
Here is what I have done:
1: First I tried flashing dtbo and vbmeta and then e-recovery, following the offical guide; but ended up bricking the phone (only bootloader available after the operation, no rcovery).
2: Then I successfully used MSM tool to bring back oxygen 12 and stock recovery on slot B, (don’t know whats on slot A right konw, but it boots only to bootloader)
3: At the moment I am trying to fastboot boot the e-recovery, and twrp recovery as well, without results. Terminal says:
*fastboot boot twrp-3.7.1_12-0-avicii.img * Sending ‘boot.img’ (46020 KB) OKAY [ 1.161s] Booting OKAY [ 0.083s] Finished. Total time: 1.296s
But then it boots into fastboot mode (the one with oneplus logo and no options). It doesn’t seem to be loading any virtual recovery, since the phone is still responding to fastboot commands. I tryed fastboot booting the recovery to both a and b slots, with no difference.
Any tips on how to make it work?
Aside from the official documentation, I am also following these 2 tutorials:
My reading of the difficulties over the past 12 months is that installing the Android 13 (T) version which is a community build is much more likely to be successful than the stable build which is still on Android 12 (S)
I searched one thread that particularly sticks in my mind and quote the closing post (with an edit for typo)
I would prefer the e-Recovery to TWRP from an install point of view.
Hi! I was trying with S Official, now with T Community version I managed to flash e-Recovery and then sideload version e-2.5-t-20241108446827-community-avicii.zip.
Thank you very much, I will now look into what it means to use a community build.
