I have a Google Pixel 5 from murena
Running /e/ 1.14.
Somewhere along the way the Lounge stopped allowing me to update or install new apps. This happened mknths ago. Phone has been rebooted many times. I can see the Update and Install buttons but clicking on them fails to initiate action.
Settings > Apps > See all app > top right 3 dot menu > Show system > Updater (Maybe System updater) > Storage > Clear storage.
A new upgrade path has been created with builds all with dates around Spring 2025. You should be careful to take these Android version upgrades one by one (until you get to the builds with more current dates).
If in doubt please show a screenshot from Updater.
From the above we see you are still running the unsupported Android 12 (S).
Please check out the available Android 13 (T) builds which should be available next: /e/OS official redfin download – click on Android 12 to see the earlier Android version.
Your Updater may conceivable need to have “Clear storage” again (??) but the next Android version upgrade should take you to
e-2.4.1-t-20241008439851-official-redfin
The “Android version upgrades” are the big steps, be sure to take this next.
Potential problem Please say if there is any difficulty to do
e-1.17-s-20250319477662-stable-redfin
to
e-2.4.1-t-20241008439851-official-redfin
… before you move on.
After this is completed and the phone restarted and tested you should be offered /e/OS version updates to get you to “Latest”. With /e/OS updates it is ok to skip versions.
Reference:
I use Upgrade for Android version upgrade and Update for /e/OS version update. Upgrades are technically more challenging.
As you had been a long time without updates some apps may be too far back in their production date / version. You might name problematic apps in case anyone can help, but they may update once your phone is up to date.
Edit, sometimes an app crashing after update is fixed by Clear cache, found from Settings > Apps … as above.
