Feedback for v1.7

Those who have as yet not received the OTA—Try this—Refresh the Updater a few times … say 4 times, and then see if an update shows up.

/e/OS 1.7 for Galaxy S9+ is (for now) only available as DEV build.
Stable build is expected next week.

Just installed e-1.7-r-20230112250687-dev-jactivelte
still no navigation bar available (physical bouton are mandatory)

I like the improvements in advanced privacy settings (separate switch for each fonction)

Now I get 1.7, but there is a problem with die Updateserver.

For the Pixel5 it is https://ota.ecloud.global/api/v1/redfin/dev
I tryed 100 times with a script with 1 second distance and get 4 answers:
56x : without 1.7
21x : with 1.7-s
17x : with 1.7-r
6x : with 1.7-r and 1.7-s

Only 27% of the replys was with 1.7-s

During the Update the bar is running, but die percentage-display on the updatepage ist always 100%.

No new issues here on Xiaomi Redmi 8T updating from 1.6 to 1.7.

The crash when entering the location spoofing menu in Advanced Privacy is now gone after the update. Big thanks to the dev team!

No OTA update showing on Oneplus 8

Both my son and I have the Pixel 4a5g running eOS 1.6r and his phone is offered the 1.7-r update but mine is not. Anyone have any ideas why? Do I need to clear some sort of cache area?

I had the same problem:

I needed two days refresh :frowning:

Not available for me. Restarted my phone just now. I hit refresh 4 times and 20 times. Still not available.

That just worked for me. I am using a Pixel 3a

Thanks this is insightful! I will look for the update next week.

I hope my reply is in best place.

I found the solution to the 1.7 update not showing up in System Updates using the refresh key.

If you navigate using files to:

files/Android/data/org.lineageos.eleven/cache

In here there was a file called journal.* (I forget extension), mine was created January 8th. I deleted this file and when I returned to update there it was:

/e/OS 1.7

Going to apply now.
