Thanks for your answer. My mistake then, I misunderstood and thought that the pixel 5 being on the list of device getting a U update would get the update with the 2.6 release.

Made the upgrade from 2.5-t to 2.6.3-u official in my FP4.
Everything seems to be working well.

I would like to try a dirty update for my Fairphone 3 from 2.6.3 t (community) to 2.6.3 u (community)
I used your links to download the zip file, but i always get this error message after starting the adb sideload command:

Flashlight mode at âno flashâ or âautomatic flashâ,
it shows a short message
keep your device steady during auto night
Then if you take the photo it shows the dialog

Upgrade was very fast.
All seems to work as expected, except FP camera app:works with standard settings but no more with 48MP. Same in the stock camera app: I can set 48MP but the shot taken is only 12.8 MP.
It is considered as a down-date because of âSecurity Patch Levelâ diff. You will have to wait until next release.
One is for updating an existing /e/ using recovery, when the other is for full installation of /e/ using fastboot.

The download over OTA was very fast and the installation of 2.6.3-U-âŠofficial only takes 15 minutes! Perfect:-)
After restarting and upgrading to Android14 I have not noticed any errors at the moment.

I am new here and have no clue.
Watching whats going on here since I got my FP4 three days ago on 20.12. because App Lounge says:

I made the OTA update this morning from the old version 2.5-t-20241108446628-partner-FP4 to the new 2.6.3 version. So it says now:
/e/ OS-Version
2.6.3-u-20241217455359-official-FP4
âŠbut the App Lounge still does say the same and does not work.
So for me it is not possible to install my needed Apps like Bank App, Signal, etc.
What can I do?

You can simply download F-Droid from https://f-droid.org, then you can install Aurora store from F-Droid.
Both Aurora store and App Lounge can go through âdifficult periodsâ in being able to access the Google owned Play Store repositories.

I did so, installed F-Droid but it just says:
F-Droid: Unexpected response code for
CONNECT: 503
The page stays black, search function doesnât find any Apps. Only the settings of F-Droid seems to be working.
But I already have tried to install the F-droid and Aurora Store App with the old version 2.5-t- yesterday and it was also not possible to get one of it to run. Only with ApkMirror it was possible to install the Signal App. So I had Signal App on the phone, but it did not want to run. ???

First thing to check, do you have Advanced Privacy in use?
In the event of any problem, or troubleshooting, I find it best to first turn all off, reboot, and try again.
503 is generally a fairly benign error as âService unavailableâ.

So i will wait patiently for the next release. Do you know where i will find the sideload part for the next update? Do i have to look for (or make up) a link with âOTAâ in it?
I turned it all off and was rebooting so many times now, but it has no effect.
@Advanced Privacy, No ⊠here aswell I tried all the possible settings.
By the way I realized when i went to the 1 Page (Advanced Privacy) that the Widgets there are not working anymore. there was BlissWetter and my cloud account where i canât sign in ???

Iâm very happy that iâm now on Android 14.
Thanks to the maintainer of the Fairphone 4 port for this excellent work. I feared, that i had to make a manual intervention via computer, but everything worked OTA, perfect.

After 3 days running on v2.6.3 I have seen the battery performance is better than before. OS general performance as well, much smoother than in prev builds.
Stock browser performance is corrected after some constant lagging seen when upgraded to v2.5.
Very happy with this release.

âŠafter F-Droid is not working for me and it is not possible for me to get the Aurora Store App, I downloaded Aurora Store from APKMirror. The Aurora App was installed put when I want to open it, it says:
Unable to parse TLS packet header
What should I do?
Iâd try the official Aurora Store app
Also, you could momentarily look up fdroid apps directly on their website

90hz Display mode âSmooth Displayâ still broken. After screen lock, hz refreshrate is below 60hz unless you disable Smooth Display. Annoying, broken since 3 patches. Worked previously.
