Everything went smoothly.
Still completely unable to use “Notes” application (sync fail, local notes fail), probably not related to this version but so server outages a few months ago.
I feel like the Bliss launcher bottom screen is uglier than ever (blur / glass effect on bottom line for some weird ui ‘‘design’’ reason, can’t tell since which version to be honest.)
Account sync is still behaving weird. (last successful sync December 19, sync error messages happen (check your credentials and so on) … but when manually triggering sync, it works)
Hi tyxo, thanks so much for taking the time to load images and info. I’ve followed; but for some reason App store isn’t connecting; just get a grey/blank screen which sort of flashes over, without loading normally.
I will keep trying; appreciate the help.
Merry Xmas, and all the very best for the New Year. Dirt
hi mihi, thanks, yes, this seems to be current, and exactly what’s going on…can’t access in anonymous mode. Cheers for the update; and hope it gets resolved soon.
Now you either have a working phone or just a useless app installed.
Good luck.
P.S.: fossify is pure open source. It should be shown in the /e/OS app store even without google access.
Consider to clean the cache and storage of this app store. Maybe this get’s it to work. If it shows fossify launcher installl it from there. Then you would not need f-droid.
Hi again tyxo,
thanks for all the help. I actually had F-Droid installed, so following your lead; I searched for Fossify Launcher and installed. This seemed to go ok, and once launched; it did temporarily improve Note 9.
Some apps like Phone, message, F-Droid and Camera showed up at bottom of Home screen; but nothing else of the couple of dozen apps I had on Home screen previously.
Can’t find Fossify Launcher in apps, or anywhere else on phone for some odd reason despite looking hard.
Phone definitely is acting weird since install of E OS V26…
Might be a lost cause, and redo?
Thanks so much for assistance on this beautiful Xmas Day
I’ve updated my Fairehpone 4 to /e/ OS v2.6-u and everything went well.
But then I decided to change the icon grid in the Appearance Settings. This messed up with the icons that I had on the bottom of the screen (the ones that always stay there). All those icons disapeared from that location to go somewhere else on my differents screens.
But the weird thing is that I had Firefox down there and now it completely disapeared. I can’t find the Firefox icon anywhere, I checked inside all folders but I can’t find it. I tried restarting the phone but it’s still missing. Firefox is still installed but I have no icon to launch it
I had the same issue. Try to clear the ‘storage/cache’ from BlissLauncher, then all apps are listed alphabetically, but you should find Firefox. After that, you can sort all your apps back however you want.
Thanks, I have many apps and I didn’t want to have to sort them again so I just unsinstalled the app from the Settings and then installed it again. It worked

Managed to do an update with a partial dirty flash, all Apps and Data still ok.
You can put them on the home screen. Widgets can also be placed on the home screen.
Other apps are on further pages. Just try swiping up down left …
Usually, most launchers are not shown as app. Did you search.in settings?
Regarding a reinstall it depends. If it is working at the moment I wouldn’t do anything and just wait for the next release. Please keep in mind that many users seem to have the similar issue on Samsung phones.
If you have a backup, you can certainly consider a reinstallation, but I’m not so sure if this will solve the problem. You have a 50/50 chance, so to speak. It’s up to you, of course.

As I´m comming from a GS290 device I was surpriesed how long the update took. But this seems to be ok for Pixel 5.
The update was smoothly after changing screen settings to avoid screen lock after a couple of minutes.
Haven´t realized any issues with the phone yet. Phone, camera, mails are ok.
As always, a hearty thank you the everyone involved providing this super duper OS. I´m still very happy with the performance my de-googled phone.
Many thanks and merry christmas & a happy new year

I’m using the 3-button navigation setting, but the Recent Apps button is not working. When I press it, it doesn’t show the list of recent applications.
Hi,
yeah, I’ve had a pretty good look in Settings etc; can’t find any trace of Fossify Launcher…but, thanks to you I have a slightly more usable phone
Yeah, not going to try a re-install at this stage as I have a back up phone…Pixel 4a running latest version of Graphene…not my favourite; but will get by until a new version of e OS comes along.
Thanks again for all the info, and help; much appreciated

Hello,
No problem with this update.
I’m still surprised by the time it takes to update on the Pixel 5, about 45 minutes, whereas on my old Samsung S7 it takes less than 10 minutes.
Many thanks to the whole team.
