I’ve tried your recommendation and cleaned with every option. Then cleaned with my favorite cache cleaner from “bmx666” from GitHub. Then restarted the phone and cleaned the cache partition. After all of that, created new user and the behavior is the same. It’s probably to do with screen lock, because it freezes the whole system and then waits with locked screen lock. Even tho the user is not configured to have any lock, but who knows. From my end it’s just broken, and I’m reporting it.
I am sorry to hear that.

Update went smoothly, and everything works.
The big difference:
Battery lifetime increased extraordinarily, not only for the first 1-2 days after reboot like before. About 2-3x lifetime now. I think this is related to this bugfix:
FP4: Battery drain (in flight mode) is substantial (#8082) · Issues · e / Backlog · GitLab
So a big thanks to the devs for this fix!

Always the same old bug with the LED that light off randomly while charging. Unplug and plug again doesn’t switch the LED on.
I must reboot and tadaaaaa : the LED goes yellow !
Since v3 it happens more often…

It took ~45 mn for 2.9 → 3.0.
Does it means something ?

Two issues:
App Lounge not installing many apps which are urgently required as daily driver, see thread here
CardDav/CalDav sync from Synology NAS broken, see thread here
This is also the same as in App Lounge hangs on many "common" apps.
Feels like it’s more than a handful now. Hope it will be fixed in 3.0.2…?
Device: FP4
Updated some weeks before, but since 3 days my battery usage is much lower than ever. I needed just 45% during that period with 3 hours display time.
But I don’t know what I did 3 days before.
All other functions work like expected.
fyi, that should be due to a bigger kernel change (more like a revert?) targeting battery use. But there seems fallout for wifi speed if you / other FP4 users feel inclined to test / validate that observation (if I need to choose I’d take battery over bandwidth though)

Problems with
VPN - no permanent VPN selectable
Advanced Privcy - real IP address cannot be hidden and permanent (in progress) circle
After restart
VPN - in status bar, but not permanently selectable
Advanced Privcy - IP address is hidden
With these settings, some apps (P4night, Maps) do not work even though obfuscation is switched off for these apps. P4night reports:no connection to the server
After I remove the obfuscation in Advanced Privcy, the circle turns continuously in Work.
Now P4Night and Maps are working

Hi!
Did you perform a manual upgrade or a fresh installation of Android?
If it was an upgrade, could you please share the steps you followed?
I tried using adb sideload with this package (from 3.0.1-t-official-FP5): https://ota.ecloud.global/official/FP5/e-3.0.2-a14-20250627504416-official-FP5.zip, but it was unsuccessful.
I also tried the manual update via the graphical interface; the OS correctly detects the Android version upgrade, but the installation fails.
There is certainly something I’m missing.
Thank you!
