Update went smoothly and everything appears to be working fine. Thank you to everyone on the dev team!
Itâs available on the server(s). If your updater canât find it, hit the refresh button a few times, or a few times more, and if still no luck, clear cache and storage of the Updater App before trying again.
Fairphone | FP5 | FP5 | unknown (I beleive it was 2.8 but I got the phone a couple months ago and didnât pay attention to the version) | Not rooted

So far since the update a few weeks ago I am noticing a few issues:
Sometimes when opening settings and searching for something (e.g. ânotificâ) clicking on the results does nothing. I have tried completely closing the settings app and re-opening it, but it only fixes after I reboot the phone.
Duolingo speaking exercises have stopped working. Clicking the âTap to speakâ button in duolingo immediately brings up the orange message that the app couldnât understand what I said (even though I donât even get the chance to speak, it just immediately fails) (ive noticed several posters here mention issues with murena voice-to-text, which might be related in some roundabout way)
this might be just my wrong interpretation given I didnt measure this in any way before, but I feel like the battery lasts a little less since the update
Please let me know if there is any logs/info I can provide to the dev team that will help in any way and I will be happy to do so.

Working fine out of the box. Just, the camera button doesnât open the camera app (like it does on stock), but still triggers photos. And the camera shortcut on the lock screen doesnât work (maybe a permission that I missed though).
Doesnât work at all, making it worse, instead of pinging me that the password is wrong every 5 minutes, itâs doing it every 5 seconds with this âfixâ
Just installed OTA update 3.02-a14-official-FP4, on both my spouseâs Fairphone 4 and mine.

No issue at all. Everything runs pretty well. Kudos to all the dev team!
However as you mention the possibility of finding an inappropriate update in App Lounge on FP6 there seems a reported not yet fully resolved anomaly here Signature of the Calendar app does not match which may (or may not) have some of the same root cause.
You might find it appropriate to join that thread if you see, from the questions currently being asked, the connection with your issue.
One more question: can the problem with the â3.0.1-a14-20250607498722-official-FP5â update be related to an unlocked bootloader?
Also there seems to be no way to update to 3.02⌠with ota or manualyâŚ
Re System Updater, after a run of fails you should probably do:
Settings > Apps and notifications > See all ⌠apps > 3 dot menu top right > Show system > Updater > Storage & cache > Clear storage
When you press refresh on the updater you have approx 25% chance of succes so be prepared to try again and maybe try to guess a less popular time of day.
If you want to manual OTA update you must not use the Install ROM found on the install page:
This method is not officially documented for FP5 [1], but if you know what you are doing the OTA_PACKAGE is found by remove 4 characters IMG- from that url â
Iâve managed to connect my FP6 to my Nissan Qashqai, but when I make calls, the sound doesnât come out of the car, it comes out via the Fairphone, which is very strangeâŚ
Hi 18yt8zhg,
I guess you already checked if the connection is set to use the device for media audio only or if phonebook access and calls are enabled too ?
