Hi @Gaea
open the camera-app, tap on the gear in the upper right corner,
a “popup” with some settings arise,
now again tap on the gear, this time the adjustment page opens,
now tap on “Photo size”, you can choose between “50 MP” and “standard”
hope that helps
kind regards

Went very well, thanks!
The Applounge / Aurora issues look like they have been mititgated or something like that.
Are the developers interested in UX issues when using larger fonts (I am visually impaired)? For example the settings of the Updater can’t be scrolled to see all of them:
Succesfully upgraded to 3.2-a15-20251022539003-official-FP6
Vendor Name: Fairphone
Device name: FP 6
Version of /e/OS which existed previously:
3.1.4-a15-20250915526528-official-FP6
Device is NOT rooted, bootloader is LOCKED
everything works fine so far :-), thanks for the release
With “charge limits” you mean things like “stop charging at 80%” or “use slow charging to increase battery life”?
I have “3.2 A15 community”, and I can’t seem to find those options? Maybe I am not looking in the right place?
On my FP3, this is in Settings > Battery > Charging control You can set a limit of your choice then.
Ohhh well, thanks! That one didn’t catch me at the first look, because it only looked like one could use this “Use some automatic time to start charging, etc” trhing. But there’s an option to choose the percent setting. Great.
I tried to install upgrade yesterday evening : download very slow.
Early this morning, it was faster.
Update was done after around 5min. Everything seems to be fine.
Happy to see Photo app from Fairphone inside. Charge control to limit battery charge is working well. Happy with opportunity to change the function of the lateral yellow switch.
Great update, thanks to all the team ![]()
Open Settings - Battery - Charging Control
Activate Enable charging control
Select Charging mode “Limit charging”

After a long download that frequently “paused”, the update installed perfectly.
Everything seems to be working correctly.
Special mention for the new ‘Fairphone Camera’ app. The photo quality is excellent and the interface is pretty attractive. Don’t forget to reconfigure the new app, especially if you want to include your geolocation in your photos, as well as save them to the memory card, for example.
Otherwise, when the device starts up, a small message saying ‘access to camera and microphone’ appears briefly at the bottom of the screen (the same thing happens on my wife’s phone).
I also disabled the permanent notifications from ‘Advanced Privacy’ according to the instructions in the 3.2 release notes.
The only downside is that incoming Bluetooth calls in the car still do not work (the sound and microphone are not redirected to the vehicle’s console). This is very annoying in my line of work. I’m keeping my fingers crossed for the next version 3.3…
Thank you to the entire development team for their wonderful and appreciated work! ![]()

After 1 day testing all works nicely - many thanks to the devs!!
Specific apps tested and all OK: easybank v3.24.2, ID Austria v5.2.0, Keepass incl. fingerprint unlock, Mullvad VPN, Signal, Thunderbird, F-droid, Aurora, Auxio
- chatty tracker blocker can be easily silenced
- pear launcher shows odd behaviour when swiping to open app drawer.
Or you wanna turn off the AI enhancements (no idea how it works if it is local or uses network for it, it was a instant ‘turn off’ for me)
I did get into that settings page, but there is no photo size option.
Ah, I had to disable AI scenerecognition.
But then I have only 4:3 when I choose 50MP….
For me it uses 26GB same as for davidsillen

Update has been working well but one issue still persists. Android Auto has not been working on my FP5 (Red Screen: Communication Error 22) since 3.1.1. My wife’s FP4 has been working flawlessly since Android Auto was introduced and still working on the latest 3.2 upgrade. Is AA working with other FP5 users?

Update from v3.1.4-t-official to v3.2-t-official
Not rooted
Update completed in 80 minutes with no issue. About twice the time as usual, mainly, but not exclusively, due to the long download time with a few breaks in downloading requiring tapping ‘resume’.
Initial testing of basic functions & apps shows these appearing to be working fine: wi-fi, mobile data, bluetooth, phone, message, mail, browser, App Lounge (common apps), and various other apps.
Confirmed here: GPS obtained an accurate fix in less than 1 minute on first testing.
Like others, I had to disable the unnecessary Advanced Privacy notifications. I don’t need apps to tell me how wonderful they are!

Everything seems to be working fine. Charging limits and FP camera are awesome, thanks! I just saw that Advanced privacy now lists “App compatibility” (in french it’s “Compatibilité des applications”) as having a Google tracker. I did not have that on v3.1.4. Anyone knows what it is?
Anyone else having problems that even when the download finishes after some time the file seems to be corrupt everytime and no update is possible?
Same when trying to install with a zip file downloaded by computer and transferred to the phone: error when importing local update

Sooner than expected but I’m seeing no breaking issues so I decided to install. It went without a problem (though about an hour download with many resumes) and I’m also not having the issue with the randomized IP, though I set it to expose my true IP address by default and it seemed to have kept that setting.
I’m also glad to see the 90Hz bug is finally fixed for real this time !
Update to V3.2 every is fine
