In add account, I see Google and Google microg. What’s the difference?

I don’t know either - but what I can see is that microg hooks into the LoginActivity.java before adding “Google microg” when called through apps that want this satified. This should allow those Apps to run properly that call this function.
The plain “Google” Account type should be introduced by the system itself. Maybe users who have their G account added know more?
The Google account is used by Account Manager for when one needs to add an actual Google account to the system. For instance for GMail, contacts sync, or whatever else it handles.
Can have a look by tapping on it and going so far to see what screens show up.
