Hi guys, I’m new here, I dont know how to use the forum very well, so I could not find the Q&A session or something related, if there is one, but, basically I have this phone, my S9 SM-G9600 (starqltechn) with the snapdragon and I want to put the /e/OS in it. The ideia was to use the oficial version, but there are not one from my phone, so I will have to use a unofficial one. I already saw a build here in the site, but due to my lack of advanced knowledge (or even basic maybe), and some fear of doing something wrong, and brick my phone, I asked to some ai’s, and they doesn’t helped me so much, so, basically I would like to know if there is any tutorial that can help me or guide. Preferably, one that starts from 0 (almost absolute). Apologies for my bad english, it’s not my first language and I dont practice it too much, and thank you ! ![]()
Hello and welcome to this user forum!
As far as I understand, the unofficial version is mentioned here and there is a XDA thread link for instruction to install.
Did you saw that?
Right now, I couldn’t help or assist you in the process because not at home with such a device.
Will get back next week
-
What are the OS’es you can run on your PC’s ?
-
What is the current version installed on the phone ?
-
What is the country where you will use the phone ?
- Right now, I’m using the windows 11 at my PC
- Android 10, One UI 2.5, Knox 3.4.1
- Brazil
Hi, thx for the reply, I already saw it, but I was uncertain because of the Knox, an the fact that I can’t go back after some point, so, to reduce the risk of bricking, I decided to learn more from another places than that
latest SamsungOS version for this device was “G9600ZHU9FVF2” (android 10 based)
(you can find that information on your device in → settings → about the phone → android version 10 → version number or baseband version )
multi operator capable (TIM, Claro, Vivo, Oi, Sercomtel, CTBC, Nextel) / unbranded / free from carrier CSC for Brazil is “ZTO”
Be aware that voLTE will not work on a Samsung device running alternative OS, you need 2g/3g network from your carrier (no more the case in many country) to make “normal” calls
sorry for you…
so you will need to follow the “Odin3 for windows” way to flash the custom “recovery-e” manager on the device (extract the “recovery.img” from the main /e/ .ZIP and convert the .IMG into .TAR using “7zip”)
I searched in here in my phone, and the version of SamsungOS is ““G9600ZHU9FVF2””, but the CSC model is “OWO”, wich kinda “surprised” me.
Didnt knew about it. Hopefully the 2g and 3g networks are not a problem to me, at least, for the next decade.
not a problem, according to
600+ Samsung CSC Codes - Complete List (2025) - Technastic
“OWO” cover your country…
| 348. | OWO (Multi-CSC) | ARO, BVO, BVT, CDR, CGU, CHL, CHT, COB, COL, COM, COO, CPA, CRC, CTI, CTU, EBE, ECO, IUS, MXO, NBS, PEO, PET, PGU, PNT, PSN, PSP, SAM, TCE, TGP, TMM, TPA, UFN, UFU, UPO, ZTA, ZTM, ZTO, ZVV |

feel free to ask if you find something unclear in [HOWTO] an Unified Install Guide Project for /e/
Hi Piero ! Can you help me ? I have a question, about the first step on the guide :
-
I could not find my CSC code in the list, in any of the links that was on the topic about the stock vendor firmware. The OWO code is missing, but it is strange, like, my BL code is ZHU and the AP is ZHU too, but the CP is ZCU. So, how can I proceed ? Installing another firmware ?
-
It is not a question, but the linsk of Odin was suspicious, a lot of ads, redirections and maybe malware risk. Btw, there was no ADB version for my OS, so I downloaded from another sources.
is the latest SamsungOS, so you can keep it as a base…
.
you said Windows
Yes, I know, I was asking about how CSC code version I should install, since I did not found mine. I was thinking in some that does not make me install some network protocols manualy. And the language does not matter to me
Yes, and already downloaded it, just saying that was linked on the page and etc
CSC include APN and update canal you won’t need those feature anymore
G9600ZHU9FVF2 is the latest
