Hi,
i am thinking about buy fairphone with /e/OS. But before i would like to check, if all my essential apps are available and works in it. Its mostly bank app, public transport app, city parking app and app of my mobile provider. Is there any way how to check availability in app lounge without having the phone yet?
Does apps like Bolt works in /e/OS?
I know its lots of questions, but i want to be sure, the OS fits my needs
App Lounge app-lounge can attempt to get many (or I guess nearly any / all) apps from Google play store while using an anonymous login. So availability is not the problem, it is will they work, especially banks check [LIST] Banking Apps on /e/OS many do, or one can avoid the app and login through the browser. This is a more secure option.
One thing you can do in advance is to check put an app in Exodus. Report for ee.mtakso.client CA.169.0 - εxodus. This for the Bolt variant ee.mtakso.client is a 0/10 score. Quite likely the driver app might be problematic, idk.
To try before you buy is a good idea to get a 50€ supported phone. In my opinion it is big jump to take a new modern priced phone and /e/OS without some prior introduction.
However you can learn a lot by reading and using the Search of the forum. There are a few informative threads where similar questions were asked.
What model (or generation) of Fairphone? Mine is FP4 and all my apps (banking, identification, navigation…) works quite well for me. I’m in Italy and my FP4 isn’t rooted and have a locked bootloader.
Edit: one thing that not works is the 48MP in all the camera apps I’ve tried.
