Hi @Kuddel. I don’t use these apps but have you mask your IP or untracked them in Advanced Privacy?
Hi,
no as far I’m aware, I haven’t masked my IP. What do you mean by untracked in privacy?
Thanks for helping
I mean that, in Advanced Privacy, you set “Blocca i tracker delle app” (in your language, of course)
and, inside, you set set the trackers you want to block.
I hope I have explain what I mean.
I didn’t get VIPPS to work on my FP4, activation never returned from BankID verification. Then I remembered that I had set Firefox as default browser, and reset to the standard browser - and voila, BankID verification succeeded.
Nationwide Banking App is no longer working.
Updated version 59.10 (20251107) now refuses to run on LineageOS for microG because ‘This device is rooted’ (it is not)
I don’t have a device running /e/OS, but someone who does may want to try
EDIT:
I have spoken to the bank’s support helpline, who have raised an issue with their app development team. Until / unless they come up with a fix, I guess I’ll have to use the bank’s internet banking via my web browser. It works, but it’s a bit clunky having to zoom the screen just to view what’s going on.
I’ll report back here if I get any progress
Tested Italy INBANK, Hungary GRANIT, both works for the basic features
Hey, I’ve currently been trying to get the CommBank Tap and Pay to work on my Fairphone 5. Did you have to do any trick to get it to work?
The new conditions of Triodos are saying the app will probably not work on systems who does not fit their demands andere will not work on rooted devices
Has anyone faced an issue with Triodos bank app in Netherlands?
added Banco Galicia and Banco Macro from Argentina, working on /e/OS 2.5 on a Moto G7 Power
For me Revolut still works. From where did you install it, App Lounge?
When you’re rooted anyway, there are several ways to cloak your root. That way so far I have several banking apps working.
It doesn’t mean it is rooted. Someone else reported that some other Revolut app also shows that message even though it is not rooted.
Edit: Here is the post
Yes, via App Lounge. It was working fine for ages. I got a “need to update personal information” email from them so I went to do that and got that message.
What handset are you using?
That’s the truth. Those apps are so paranoid and poorly programmed that they only check for an unlocked bootloader.
That’s a heritage from times 10 years ago that AliExpress phones came with manipulated ROMs. Nowadays we unlock to keep ourselves saved from big data.
The biggest problem is, with banks: you’ll never be able to speak to the right person to tell them how bizarre this is. App-makers implant this to be absolutely save (I mean which app-maker wants to be pursued for a safety leak) but the reason is totally old fashioned and unwanted. But try to tell that to a customer hotline. They have ABSOLUTELY NO CLUE what you want.
That makes me afraid for the future of de-Googling.
Pixel 4a community v2.5-t.
I use Aurora Store for app installation. If you are familiar with Aurora Store (and its chations like Google Play Service update showing, etc.) you could try installing it from there. You got nothing to lose I guess.
