I went to the UniCredit Bank branch in Serbia today to request activation codes. I said, “It’s possible the activation won’t succeed on my new phone, so I’ll have to ask again and transfer the app back to my old phone.” The bank officer asked, “Is the app installed on this new phone, and does it have internet connectivity?” I replied, “Yes.” He responded, “Then the app must work.” And indeed, it did.

@AudeM, Thank you very much for this tuto. It works well for me. I can now open Boursobank on my mobile phone. It was a real pain in the ass not being able to validate my online payments for a few days.

For BoursoBank if it helps, you can call the support to remove your phone from your list of trusted devices and this automatically reactivate validation through sms

Hi there, today on reddit it is stated that C24 (German Bank) isn’t working with microG anylonger.
I prolonged any update, but in time the App will force one.

Is there a known fix/solution?

Thanks a lot, it works fine for Boursorama and finally for Revolut which I was unable to use for almost a year.

One of the listed banking apps is RBC ROYAL BANK ( in Canada). My question is this: whenever i try to install ANY app, it automatically wants me to hit the go…le button for starting download. How do I get the app without using playstore…our app lounge does not list a link.
If this is a dumb question, then Im sorry. I spend hours and hours reading and learning.

does offer to “Add to Home screen” in default Browser.

“Hit install” is about having the app through their Advertising agency. You might choose No.

When you use App Lounge or Aurora Store you accept the idea that you can spoof that (Google) store.

One might ask the institution if they might provide some “middle ground”. I expect a No.

Thank you. I have been trying this and trying that for months now. You’re correct about contacting bank - no access to a tech and their employees are lovely people, i have been with them for forty years, they cannot help. By the way this is a Murena One phone which was purchased with /e/os installed. I love it!

Hello,

A quick question from a French beginner: how do I “install shelter”?
I don’t want to do anything wrong.

Please guide me step by step.

Do I need to download F-DROID? From my phone or a PC?

And then…

Thanks

FP4 /e/OS v3.1.1

Hi,

Download F-Droid on your phone and then download Shelter on F-Droid. It’s an app that you download like Signal on App Lounge.

Hi all, I was using /e/os as daily driver on my oldest died phone…

I have a new one, but I see my banking app (boursobank / boursorama) is now flagged as “NOT_OK”.
It could be a no go for me.

Anyone confirms there was a change in last months ?
Any chance it works via shelter ?
Thanks.

Yes, with shelter, for the moment, it works :
This method works for me :

I just installed the latest update on Fairphone 3+ and my Nationwide Banking app (UK) won’t connect. Gonna try again in the morning, but just seeing if any other users are having similar issues.
All other apps seem to be working fine.

Hello, has anybody tried out the RBS (Royal bank of Scotland)-app on /e/OS yet?

Not working for me with the Revolut (white app) on Samsung S10.

My answer is just for Boursobank.

I can confirm that:
1 - Portugal - Banco CTT app - is working on fairphone 5 on e/os/3.1.1
2 - Portugal - AppProva - Banco Montepio - is working on fairphone 5 on e/os/3.1.1
3 - Portugal - MBWay - NOT Working. not sure if its due to b) - see below

a- Both installed anonymously through App Lounge.
b- I have both Fake Location and Real Ip Hidden and they work.

I just read it aloud in a French accent. It makes me feel multinational, even though I understand only 5% of the words.

It is not the subject of this thread but it’s very easy to translate any language.
For example, in my case, I installed on my Firefox the plugin “Simple Translate”. You can choose between Google Translate and DeepL. I took a free plan from DeepL.
To translate, you just have to select text, a little button appears and when you click on it, a pop-up shows you your language version.
It’s very usefull.
