Hi all,
Boursobank app.
Same issue with a Pixel 7 on /e/OS 3.1.1 Official unlock bootloader.
“Oups” connection issue after full e/OS reinstall
Shelter workaround installed and help (not without some strange glitches)
Since yesterday, “Network error …”

I can’t even call them or connect to my account with a regular web browser because app notification validation is mandatory.

My experience on Pixel 7 with latest e/os 3.1.1 official (and on an older device it was the same)
N26 does not work. (login loop).
ABN AMRO works perfect.
ABN AMRO credit cards app works perfect.

With (re)locked bootloader

Hello,
With the Boursobank app, same error from my side on FP6, just after the upgrade to /e/OS 3.1.1:

I try the Shelter workaround again (after uninstalling it and the bank app), I can’t install it anymore (it can be installed but not configured)

Can confirm.

Austria. Bank99 and Okey99 is working. FP5, stable EOS 3.1.1-t, locked.
Brieftasche99 is not working. Card can not be activated for GPay.

Austria. Trade Republic. Registration can’t be completed, because the face can’t be recognized. Seems microg in EOS is missing Google’s Face Detection API. Which seems to be implemented partly in upstream since Release v0.3.7.250932 · microg/GmsCore · GitHub - 25 April 2025.

Installing Bourso by launchig App Lounge through shelter is impossible: the app downloads extra packages - really slowly - and install process ends with no warning / error message, App Lounge only offering to retry, with same end result.

Some updates :

  • To be sure nothing else goes against the install process, I have reinitialized the Pixel 7 to “/e/OS-Factory” conditions.
  • /e/OS basic setup (wifi, language, gps accuracy). Nothing more. No account, no nothing.
  • Shelter install
  • Boursobank installed through Shelter’s AudeM process (smoothly all the way to the end of it, ie unfreeze MicroG)
  • Launching Boursobank app and … Network error (same as previous).
  • With Shelter, Freezing MicroG (and keeping it freezed) and launching Boursobank again → works fine. I haven’t tested online payment app validation. Just, basic access and checking basics app functions.

Ok. Really not the best way to get it working but it does.I hope /e/OS team will find out how to have those oversecurized app working without the Shelter trick.

For two days now I have been unable to launch the application on my Pixel 7 - official 3.1.1.
With the help of customer service, the furthest I got was to define a PIN. I have not been able to do anything further - i.e. launch the application.
Has anyone had a similar problem and managed to solve it?

Same issue here with webview. At the end, the connexion works.

Before that, I already used to install my work apps in the work profile thanks to shelter. These apps are from Microsoft (Teams, Office and co…). I wonder if it will still work with frozen MicroG…

20 minutes after the freeze it does… But how many times?

The other problem with this workaround is that my work apps are shut down when I am not at work.

Was on Los 21 when I moved to eOS in the summer. The reason why banking apps didn’t work was outdated MicroG version. I moved back to Lineage with 0.3.9 MicroG and nearly every banking app works.

Please tell the developers to ensure that MicroG is updated or allow users to update it manually

Seems that 0.3.9 is still in beta, not recommended as a daily driver…

I have been on it. Every app that was not working on 0.3.7 now works. I wish we had the option to try out beta version on eOS, so those who really need banking apps can hop on it. This was the sole reason I had to move back to Lineage even though I liked e more.

I got the same problem of shelter installation fail on my S9. The way I solved it, is:

  • Uninstall shelter
  • delete professional account
  • remove the lock screen method.
  • reinstall shelter
    Then I was able to do the shelter workaround and BoursoBank now works again :wink:

I am also having problems with BoursoBank, the shelter workaround fixes them, even though sometimes a restart of the app is required.

In the meantime, I submitted a complaint via the official form, I invite you all to do the same :slight_smile:
