Sometimes, after an OTA update it is enough to clean the cache and user data of some applications to make them work again.
It was an update to the OS on my FP4 today. I tried uninstalling reinstalling and clearing storage and cache but still no luck.
I have the same issue with Nationwide since the update
Just tried a fresh install of the Nationwide app from App Lounge on v1.8-s.
The âLoadingâ screen is displayed and never completes
Hi everybody,
Impossible to use N26 due to failed synchronisation.
Has somebody a solution ?
Thank you in advance.
Yep, I just tried the exact same thing, but same result: it still just says âLoadingâ forever but never loads
I really need my banking app to work.
Thanks. Really hoping this issue can be promptly resolved.
Keep us posted!
The bug is still present in the 1.9-s-beta
builds currently going tested
Nationwide isnât working since 1.8 update.
Regarding Nationwide (I donât use it), if it was working before 1.8 but not now, has anyone checked Advanced Privacyâs tracker blocking.
I only mention it because of the Outlook situation where that app worked fine before 1.8 and then not because of stricter blocking.
Might not be the case but a look see may be warranted.
Brilliant, thanks for the heads up. I wish my developers in work were this on the ball
I cannot set-up the Triodos UK banking app (which is rather annoyingly the only way you can apply for new Triodos accounts). It was all going fine, but once it gets to the bit where it wants to record my face it says âPlease install Google Play Servicesâ so Iâm stumped.
Yeah, if you look at the GitLab issue itâs been marked for 1.10-beta milestone which sounds a Long Way Away
I know nothing really, but I donât understand why a fix canât be rolled out as an update to 1.8.
It could be done, but that is not how /e/ operate. They do regular updates, containing as many tested fixes as are available when the build is due. Unless a defect in a particular build is a âshowstopperâ (i.e. some core functionality is broken in build 1.n
, with no possible workaround") then they wonât do a 1.n.1
: the fix will wait until the 1.n+1
or - more likely the 1.n+2
build when it has been properly tested.
Other organisations may do things differently, but thatâs the model /e/ have adopted, and it has a lot going for it
This issue - while it may be annoying for users of the UK Nationwide banking app - doesnât really count as a âshowstopperâ
Fair enough, I guess.
Itâs a bit flippant to dismiss a loss of established functionality as annoying. I find it a bit more than annoying.
Iâm sure you do, and I would too if I were using the app on /e/OS. But the fact remains that, for a number of reasons, itâs not a bug that qualifies as a âshowstopperâ or merits a new 1.n.1
release, which a: risks causing problems by the fix not being properly tested, and b: delays the release of the next scheduled version.
Thanks for the additional explanation, but youâve already stated its not a showstopper, and I donât dispute that decision or the rationale for making that decision. I also accept the fact that the new bug created by the update isnât going to be patched and weâll have to wait for a future update. Repeating that wasnât productive, I understood the first time.
What I donât accept is your flippancy around it being annoying for users. Itâs more than annoying to lose previously reliable functionality in a commercial product that I paid for, and was using day to day to support my work. Your unhelpful response is making me less likely to replace this e/OS phone with another.
I hope that better illustrates my level of dissatisfaction and hopefully youâll understand that this is more than a mere annoyance.
Firstly, none my posts in this thread were in response to you: there were responses to posts by @GreyLinux and @jdaviescoates .
Secondly, I really donât care whether you âacceptâ what you choose to see as flippancy, and what I choose to see as having a sense of proportion about what, in reality, and in the grand scheme of things, is a relatively minor problem. Feel free to not accept it - I can probably live with the consequences
Really? You would let your high level of âdissatisfactionâ with the comments of a forum user who has no formal connection to /e/ affect your decision about what phone and what phone OS to select? You clearly do see it as more than a mere annoyance, but you really might want to check out your own sense of proportion and perspective. The phrase âGet over yourself!â, springs to my mind for some reason.
You might also want to find out how easy it is to mute a forum user whose views, posts, or attitude upset , offend, or bore you. (Open that userâs profile, and select âMutedâ from the drop-down box which defaults to 'Normal`). I am about to use that facility Good night!
mobi.inthepocket.bcmc.bancontact
This app does not work on this OS e
It is the most widely used payment app in Belgium
It would be nice if this ever works out.
Only then I can inform friends about this fine degoogled daily use.
Is this the right place to ask this question?
