pCloud login not possible with multiple devices

Hello community!

I have a problem with pCloud and have not yet been able to find a solution in the forum. Unfortunately, the app has logged out.

When I click on Login in the pCloud app, a white screen with a loading symbol appears. Nothing else happens.

I have the problem with my Zenfone 8 and Redmi 7 (both with e/os). It works perfectly with other Android devices (without e/os).

I have already uninstalled and reinstalled the Pcloud app several times. I have set different browsers as default browsers because I read that in the forum. The problem occurs in WLan and via mobile.

The logins seem to work with all other apps.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks
Alex

I tested pCloud (as a new user) and at login got a toast saying “No suitable browser found”. I did persevere and was able to create an account, but fairly uncomfortable process, Edit, partially due to on screen keyboard obscures active text field. After successful login the app appears to run ok.

Might be worth checking with their support what are requirements of Browser.

Probably worth while testing to have all Advanced Privacy off.

also see this thread: pCloud not working: cannot log in

the user reinstalled from another store, but imo it was then just about device registration for google cloud messaging (“GCM disabled” in logcat). As in check your microg settings first

Thanks for your tip.

I had also read the article. The installation via Aurora did not help.

Logcat is quite confusing and I can’t make heads or tails of it.

hmm, can’t see an issue right in that logcat. Could you disable any tracker-blocking for pcloud? (thus crashlytics can do its thing)

Edit: maybe that it goes right into the Intent screens.AutoUploadSplash is the “white screen” - as in… you could play with giving it broader file permissions in the Settings → App → pCloud → Permissions to see how the App reacts

It works for me. I’m running /e/OS 3.0.1 on a rooted Fairphone 4, with duckduckgo as the default browser. I installed pCloud from the App Lounge. I got the toast message that aibd mentioned, but the app worked fine nonetheless.

I’m using pCloud for a while. My wife and I use it since 5 years on both our phones, tablet and PC. We haven’t encountered any issue yet. Phones are Pixel5 redfin and OP 8T kebab, and tab is Samsung S5e, both with e-os 3.01.
The only issue I’m remembering was when I block background notifications… It was a little bit confusing. If you have blocked notif, give it a try.

Thank you very much for all the suggestions. I’ve tried pretty much everything in the last few days. Unfortunately without success. I have only now seen that there is a newer eos version for my Zenfone. I have never done an update. I’ll do it this weekend at the latest.

Hi SQZ, I’ve had similar login issues to the pCloud app on my Fairphone 4 with e/OS/ 3.1.1.

What ultimately helped with the login was to manually set the app to open links to www.pcloud.com by default. This setting can be found in the app settings of pcloud > “open by default” > + add link > select www.pcloud.com from list.

The actual naming of the menu items might differ because my device is in german and I translated it freely here.

Also noteworthy: I had tracker-blocking in advanced privacy disabled when doing this. No idea if that plays a role.
