Twrp not responsive on a Samsung galaxy grand prime

Samsung G alaxy Grand Prime Gprimelte SM-G530FZ
Hello everyone
I am following this tuto…

I get to the part where twrp appears on my phone but l cannot swipe the screen is not responsive
I tried twice and ended with the same problem

Regain your privacy! Adopt /e/OS the deGoogled mobile OS and online servicesphone

According to https://twrp.me/Devices/Samsung/ the SM-G530FZ would be gprimeltexx, not gprimelte.
Are you sure you are using the correct TWRP version?

I think l made a mistake in writing primelte which is the phone not twrp
it is primeltexx l used
I think its that one l used
https://twrp.me/gprimeltexx/twrp-3.1.1-1-gprimeltexx.img

Computer is off now
I will check tomorrow and correct if necessary…

Hello
So it was not the right twrp…
Twrp is on and working…
But now it is the e/os that is not the right one l suppose ?

Which file exactly are you trying to sideload?

This one
it is strange it says gprimeltexx but ten there is another serial number that is not my phone but on the previous page it seems to be the closest file to my phone…

The most recent version seems to be here (as the older topic you found got closed, but there was a newer version there as well), and the phone designation matches yours …

Since I would advise to redownload the file anyway, you might as well try the most recent and more matching one.

I tried
I am getting this…

I do not mind Lineage if Murena is not avaliable…

Logically the install should only complain about fortuna3g, fortuna3gxx if you tried to sideload
e-2.3-r-20250118-CUSTOM-fortuna3g.zip
instead of
e-2.3-r-20250118-CUSTOM-gprimeltexx.zip.

The “this device is .” part is also worrying. Even if the correct install file would be chosen, this way it wouldn’t have a chance to match.

Like with /e/OS, at least there’s nothing “official” (in LineageOS terms) … https://wiki.lineageos.org/devices

But not working either…

Turns out this is the case. Your device doesn’t get recognised properly to match it to the install file. I don’t know how to correct this.

Ordinary, “this device is” is followed by a device name.

You could try to reinstall Samsung Firmware as a sane base :
Download Galaxy Grand Prime SM-G530FZ (XEF) G530FZXXS1BSB2 in Samfw - Samsung firmware download

This time l get an invalid zip file format

Also l tried to go way up in the twrp proceed and there was an error there
could it be why ?
Im trying again…

so no error in the twrp sequence it went well this time but still invalid zip file format

You could try TWRP’s Install function instead (in TWRP’s main menu), if TWRP can access some storage where you can put the file.

hello
I tried the 3 files via SDcard and non of them worked

Neither e/OS nor Lineage nor Samsung

humm…
you can’t use TWRP to flash Samsung Firmware you need to use Odin3 Windows or Odin4 Linux or Galaxy-Flasher…

I do have Odin3 on my windows7 partition unfortunately there are missing drivers and Odin3 cant find the device…

which is why I switched back to ubuntu…
Je vais donc eessayr Galaxy Flasher et Odin4Linux now…

There are ton of post about this here on the forum, you must launch windows update including optionnal updates… when the phone is plugged in download mode
(you can monitor in windows device manager)
or
install the linked driver

It seems it worked as now odin tool reccognises my phone…

But another problem is that l cant add the custom file in AP it simply wont see it in my download folder

I re- downloaded the e file and unzipoed it again as l dont know how to share what is in ubuntu with windows…This file :
https://sourceforge.net/projects/eosbuildsronnz98/files/SamsungSmartphones/e-2.3-r-20250118-CUSTOM-fortuna3g.zip/download

Tried to transfer with a usb but windows says its empty
Are they not the same custom files wether its windows or linux

For flashing Samsung firmware with Odin, you need
BL_G530FZxxxx.tar.md5
AP_G530FZxxxx.tar.md5
CP_G530FZxxxx.tar.md5
CSC_G530FZxxxx.tar.md5

How to flash Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime SM-G530FZ firmware
  1. Extract (unzip) the Samsung firmware file. Recommended using WinRAR or 7-Zip

  2. Download Odin Tool 3.13.1

  3. Extract Odin ZIP file

  4. Open Odin execute file

  5. Reboot Samsung phone in Download Mode (hold Home + Power + Volume Down buttons OR for recent devices, hold Volume Down + Bixby buttons then plug-in cable)

  6. Connect you Samsung phone and wait until you get a blue sign in Odin

  7. Add the 4 files Samsung firmware (AP/BL/CP/CSC) to it’s slots

  8. Make sure re-partition is NOT ticked

  9. Click the START button, sit back and wait few minutes

.

If you are talking about TWRP,

you need
twrp-3.1.1-1-gprimeltexx.img.tar
in the AP slot, to use with Odin. (unselect “auto-reboot”)

Then using TWRP, you need

because according to
[CLOSED][OFFICIAL][RECOVERY]TWRP 3.1.x for Grand Prime SM-S920L|SM-G530MU/FZ/P/T/T1/W
your device is

SM-G530FZ - gprimeltexx
