for year know I us e your Samsung Galaxy S7 edge . It is now at Android 12 / eOS-Version 3.2-s .
Now the first app request Android versions higher than 12. Can I expect that my device will get Android 13 somewhen in near future? Where can I see that there is a plan to upgrade my model with Android version 13 or not?

attentive users of this forum can known what it could signify
to fix your issue i think better is to use the a14 Unofficial version awaiting the promissed official upgrade

yes it is a question of time,
but could be released in several months

but upgrade will not be automatic OTA, only manually and with possible dataloss

I must warn you that this version is not as stable as an official one.
In my case, I was unable to unlock the phone, as doing so would make it crash…
However… Yes, “to be planned” generally means you’ll get it for Christmas… next year. The /e/ team has tons of things to do and OTA is not their top one priority.

I even asked you this question and you answered me it was ok as S7’s vendor ROM last update was back in 2019…
Concerning required /e/ firmware, there are no firmware updates that have been made since the A12 OTA
