[Device Roadmap] Android 9 (Pie) & 10 (Q) : Test builds to upgrade currently supported devices

Thanks for confirming that…the v0.10 fix was specifically for the updater to allow OTA updates to show up.

How does the Pixel XL fit in here?

I see it’s not on this list, but I see it on the first post list.

Does it not have a test build yet?
Curious about why and when that might happen?

Thanks for all the hard work!
Excited to help test…

For your information: Oneplus3T on 0.10-p- has not yet detected the OTA. Could the installation method used to install the latest build (no wipe/format data) be hampering this in any way?

Not sure that could be the reason. All the same worth a try . Clean install the previous build and then check if the OTA shows up.

Welcome in the forum

The Pixel XL will have a test build on Android 10 once /e/ will be ready for this Android version. Expect it in October (to give you an idea, it might change).

Considering that the Fairphone comes preinstalled with e I wonder why it is not in the table of upgradeable devices?

Hello.

That’s perhaps because Fairphon/e/ runs a ‘stable’ version of /e/, with deep tests by dev’ team before release…

Clean installed yesterday, no new updates found in the updater.

Hi @chrisrg I have started a new test build just for the oneplus3 . It would take about 3 hours. Once complete you should be able to see it in the OTA.

OK , I’ll be on the lookout!

Yep, that did it @Manoj. Oneplus3T updated OTA and all looking good.

How’s it going with the other however many there are devices on the list I wonder?

Did the OTA show up on the Redmi 4X ?

Were you able to get the OTA on your tablet… let me know updating the list for official support.

Were you able to flash the test build for Shamu shared here and get the OTA

Unfortunately, no :frowning:

Can we check the OTA settings on the phone ?

Just ran another test build for the Santoni. That should show up once complete. .This build was installed as a clean build or was it a dirty flash.

Thanks

It was a dirty flash, hope it won’t be at cause …

Not sure but on the Oneplus3T a clean flash did the trick.

Cleared data for app Updater (org.lineageos.updater), rebooted, and voilà !

BTW the OTA URL can be found in /system/priv-app/Updater/Updater.apk, resources.arsc/values/strings.xml (key updater_server_url)

Had to reinstall 0.10 testbuild due to mishaps trying to restore data in twrp, and now the phone is offering nougat testbuilds again.

Tried clearing data for the updater app and rebooting as you did @smu44 but it did not work.
