Clear cache and clear storage, then reboot phone, refresh.

- Not rooted
I have several problems that I have had on all versions so far:
- Callers are shown as “Unknown” for no logic reason. I have verified that the settings are correct on both ends
- The phone reboots by itself several times a week, sometimes several times a day. It does not matter what I do. It can be browsing settings, file organization, using apps etc.
Resetting the phone does not help. It seems OK for hours, then the problems are back.
I am starting to think my unit is faulty.
This issue i well known and will be solved in 2.4 which is currently released (but not already available for all devices).
Watch Week 40, 2024: Development and Testing Updates
I made the 2.3 update on my gs290 through recovery-mode with an micro-SD-card; but the update-manager still cannot even verify availability of the 2.4.
-
where is the 2.4-update-zip for GS290 ? (not IMG-e-2.4-s-2024…)
-
could a spurious option on the e/os-parameters of the GS290 prevent the update-manager to work properly ?
-
personnal email-adress is rejected by gitlab for insciption.
thanks for any hint. Brieucs.
The 2.4 release are made available as we go along, so maybe not yet for your device.
Did you check this thread ?
@Didou : thank you for answer; I have checked :
It appears that IMG-e-2.4-s-202409…-official-GS290.zip
is ready, but IMG is for installation, not update.
It is not clear at all which sort of issue e-2.4 release would solve about the update-manager.
thank-you for your attention. brieucs.
Is the little notification at the bottom always appearing when you reload the updater ?
-
First (on e-2.2-s), it appeared only when I clicked on the little arrowed-circle to ask if there is an update available.
-
after (on e-2.2-s, and on e-2.3-s obtained by recovery) it appears immediately when I ask for the update-manager.
I have cleared , on applications/…/system-processes, storage and cache, for “dynamic-system-updates”, for “update-manager”, “network-manager” and “download-manager”, and reboot before test.
thanks for your concern; Brieucs.
