Services have been brought down to resolve the issue with the servers. We expect services to be restored in about 30 minutes. Update:
The restoration of services is taking more time than expected. Overall we are looking at a 1 hour downtime.
with due respect: I doubt that.
The bootanim seems gone, yes. But the problem persists. I have an app that does not come back to the same state after these “crashes”. So for me it is pretty easy to track the crashes even when I do not recognise them immediately. I already had such a situation about few hours after the update. If it happens again I will confirm it here.

Making calls with Linphone Android 5.2.5 frequently causes the phone to reboot. This app version existed on the phone prior to /e/OS update and worked well without causing reboots.
Edit: The problem seems to be with a recent update of KISS Launcher. All good if using Bliss.
Edit: Seems to be a problem with any third party launcher. This is very unfortunate as I really hate using Bliss.
Edit: It just happened with Bliss so either some Linphone bug has been hidden until now, or 2.4 has a regression.

Updater app seems broken. I was trying to donwload the update but then kept receiving errors. After I checked here and saw the services were receiving maintenance, I waited and tried again. Donwload got stuck halfway through and would not continue. Tried to delete the update and redownload, now the app claims there’s no updates available.
If you ignore the updater and continue to use your phone, eventually it will recommend the update at a later time. Could be days or upto a week later. Patience pays off in this regard
There’s nothing to fix, this is the way the staggered release works, at least partly. The update server either reveals the new version to the updater when asked, or not. So the new version reaches users in measured doses as intended.
I am having trouble after updating my Fairphone 5 to v2.4. Scrolling is very choppy after unlocking the screen, and only gets fixed if I go and disable, then reenable Smooth Display. I have to do this every time I lock the phone again.

Unable to update. The download gets stuck at ~115 MB. Tried multiple times, resuming the download is not possible (error) → updater app crashes. Also deleting the existing download and starting it again does not work.
I was finally able to update my FP3, after many tries. This time I had no issues apart from a very slow download (took 1 hour, but at least it didn’t fail).
Thank you for pointing that out. And here is the solution to my problem with that: the translation. In german GUI both apps are called “Kamera”. You can find out which is which if you tap on it and hit “info”, then scroll down and read the app name: com.fp5.camera or com.e.camera.
I would recommend rethinking the translation …
It took me a while to download version 2.4-t for my Fairphone 4 (several internet connection errors), but now my fp4 has version 2.4. Everything is ok, but I will check if the battery does not consume more energy than the previous version.
