Here is an information about three new flash parties :

• in Toulouse (France)
• “La Rebooterie”, 29 bis Avenue des Mazades, 31200 Toulouse
• April, 26th, 2025, from 14h to 17h30
• May, 17th, 2025, from 14h to 17h30
• June, 28th, 2025, from 14h to 17h30

@Julien already created flash parties in this place with @e-media , years ago, and I’m continuing

I’ll explain how to back up and flash a phone, and if the phone is compatible, each participant will manipulate, at his own risks.
It is strongly recommanded to come with a computer, ideally a linux pc.
To register for the flash party, please write me an email to “degooglise.toulouse at framalistes dot org”.

“La Rebooterie” is an association, so the flash party is organized for the members, but the inscription fee is very low (10€ minimum for a year). Please contact them (https://larebooterie.fr/ )

@Julien avait déjà créé des flash parties à cet endroit avec @e-media, il y a quelques années, je continue

J’expliquerai comment sauvegarder, flasher un téléphone et si le téléphone est compatible, chaque participant fera les manipulations, à ses propres risques.
Il est fortement recommandé de venir avec un ordinateur, idéalement sous linux.
Pour vous inscrire à la flash partie, veuillez m’envoyer un mail à “degooglise.toulouse at framalistes dot org”.

On a déjà eu plusieurs inscriptions donc le site d’inscription fonctionne a priori bien.
Il faut bien aller jusqu’au bout quand on s’inscrit, jusqu’à recevoir une confirmation par e-mail.

Would anyone be interested in a UK based Flash Party? I would not mind travelling to get to it. I am not sure how many UK based users there are? I would quite like to get a 2nd hand tablet to install e/os on as a backup for my Pixel, but, could do with some help flashing it as I have never attempted anything like this.

Het is niet zo moeilijk meer om het zelf te doen. Het programma dat je nodig hebt, heet Open Android Installer en neemt je op duidelijke wijze mee in het proces. https://openandroidinstaller.org/

Het programma is zowel op Windows als Linux te installeren.

Als je alleen /e/OS wilt, dan kun je de Easy Installer van /e/OS gebruiken. Kijk hier: Smartphone Selector . Je hebt dan wel Microsoft Edge, Chromium of Opera nodig als browser.

Daar kwam ik vast te zitten;

ik weet niet welke code.
Ik heb mijn ww geprobeerd zonder succes.
Weet jij misschien hoe ik verder moet?
Anders zou ik jouw andere optie kunnen proberen.
Ik heb debian op een aparte geinstaleerd.

Does it matter, idk, – party invitations could be in any language, the more that rock up the better.

I happen to have a negative disposition to the concept of a “dominant language”.

Language is only code. The forum provides “language groups” {quotes as linked already} to ease the understandability for {all} readers.

“Dual language” posts @Leovoor, seem to work quite well, if contributors feel like translating their own contribution.
