Following my previous question (see Redmi Note 5 topic for e/os installation) for which I had only link for Lineage OS I ask again : can I install e/os on it ? If yes where is the documentation knowing that I am not a specialist of these matters ?
Same question for my Redmi Note 12 Pro +
With AID64 Icould know the name of the 2 devices :
As Isaid I am not very skilled for these manipulation, so I would like you or somebody guide me a little bit more because the tutorials are so completethat I am a little bit lost.
This why I use first my old Redmi Note 5 whyred
On my redmi note 5 whyred :
I am on the developper mode
I have downloaded ““Official TWRP App” but I do not understand how to continue with
On my PC under Linux Zorin Os based on Ubuntu
I have downloaded e-3.1.4-t-20251007-UNOFFICIAL-whyred.zip
Yes, understtood; we will continue in english, my experience could be useful to someone else. I saw that there was a french translation for the tuto, I will help me with.
Yes, I began but encountered difficulties once fastboot installed.
if not properly "installed in your path” as explained in Installing adb and fastboot on Windows PC ,
simply add ./ at the beginning of all your adb or fastboot commands,
it will use the version included into the relative folder (the latest) instead of the one installed on your system
.
Ou, plus pratique à utiliser que “cmd”, tu peux installer “git-bash” que tu pourras ouvrir depuis l’emplacement de ton choix avec le clic droit.
On your PC, install Git-bash, and confirm all preselected options.
Thank you for all these explanations. I’ll check to see if my device is in fastboot mode, because I can start my Redmi Note in fastboot mode (a little man with a chapka on his head).
But the problem is that when I try to unlock my Redmi Note 5, I don’t receive the code that is sent to my phone! It’s frustrating, and it’s not ending up in my spam folder!
Suggestions. Have you read and re-read the unlocking tool instructions? Do you have one only registration of your phone on the unlock tool. When your correctly registered phone is connected to the unlocking account (in my experience) you should see a very accurate status report on the state of your phone and the unlocking transaction.
The “rules” of the unlock tool do not seem to be able to tolerate a “second” phone number, or more specifically a different SIM in the system. I am fairly certain messages will only go back to the registered “device and SIM” combination. I think even use of the SIM in a different device during the “countdown” can be a blocker and might cause a silent fail.
