My unsupported devices todo list and non-successful devices overview list

So enough builds for this year from my side

  • Samsung Galaxy J5 2016 (R) [Q works, but EOL]

Thank you for all you tried, achieved or not !
happy happy holiday season

Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro (begonia)

(AOSP 13 + 14 official crDroid) Lineage based sources: https://github.com/begonia-dev

Xiaomi Redmi Note 8/8T (ginko/willow)

(AOSP 13 + 14 official crDroid) Lineage based sources: https://github.com/crdroidandroid/android_device_xiaomi_ginkgo

Unlike Redmi Note 8 (codenamed “ginkgo”), Redmi Note 8T (codenamed “willow”) does not have a notification LED but instead has a NFC communication module by NXP.

I could not locate AOSP 13 kernel and vendor files. Ginko is officially supported until R by /e/OS

For R I could build:
e-1.18-r-20231228-UNOFFICIAL-begonia.zip
https://sourceforge.net/projects/eosbuildsronnz98/files/XiaomiSmartphones/e-1.18-r-20231228-UNOFFICIAL-begonia.zip/download

https://xdaforums.com/f/redmi-note-8-pro-roms-kernels-recoveries-othe.9295/

Will try T sometime later…

/e/OS-R has been running for some time. But - now my ‘willow’ works very well with AOSP 14 based on Lineage code including Minimal MicroG NoGoolag.

Yes, I saw that only AOSP 14 / LOS 21 sources are available which cannot be used yet for /e/OS

Whether OS 13 or 14 is basically not important, the main thing is that a /e/OS-T would run well.

Understood. Unfortunately I could not locate respective LOS20 sources for eOS-T build

Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 4G/5G (r8q) (T): Now build successful

Could not build. Had build errors which I could not resolve.

Samsung Galaxy J5 (2017) (j5y17lte) [SM-J530F/DS] - Global

Latest version is Q-1.17 and also Android Q is latest supported version as per XDA forum, so this is Ende Gelände

System works very well. Although it does not run /e/OS, the configuration is still significantly better than stock android ONE 11 (8/2022) or other older googled custom ROMs.

:white_check_mark: Hip, hip, hooray! Everything is better than it was yesterday.

For /e/OS I was at least able to build for Android 11.

The really good /e/OS-Q could still be actively used for some time, see:

Vendor Name: Xiaomi Redmi
Device name: Note 6 Pro
Device CodeName: twolip ( tulip )

By chance I found in the (Telegram) official channel of Redmi Note 6 Pro further development based on LineageOS 20 + LOS 21

Fancy building a ROM /e/OS-T, @ronnz98?
