l’installation via le site me dit que Mon pixel 6 (oriole) de 2021 n’est pas compatible
c’est parce qu’il est sous android 17 ?

downgrading GogolOS to 16 seems nomore possible,
So, you should have a try to simply installing /e/OS-a16.
(restoring stock GogolOS 17 is easy in case of problem)
From Install /e/OS on a Google Pixel 6 - “oriole” we see
Before installing /e/OS on the Google Pixel 6 oriole for the first time, install the latest stock OS version 16 build on the device.

I have successfully downloaded the boot and dtbo files (I am on Zorin os on my laptop)
should I put these files in a special folder?
open the terminal from the folder that contain the files
or cd /path_to_the_folder
or fastboot flash boot /path_to_/boot-e-4.0-a16-20260610633937-community-oriole.img

after adb sideload , in the terminal i have : total xfer : 1.00x
in the phone i have error recovery : open failled: : /metada/ota : no such file or directory
install completed with status 0.
Is used to be a success message.
What happen when rebooting the phone ?

If your pixel has Android 17 and cannot downgrade to Stock Android 16, you can’t flash /e/OS for the moment.
You need to wait an upgrade of /e/OS to Android 17 for your pixel.

Interesting to see you were able to flash /e/OS android 16 on a stock 17.
